You will never know what will happen. Time always tests love. Overtime, partners with have their own individuality, at hindi natin alam kung paano magiging dynamic n’yo as the time goes by.

We can even compare love to a beautiful bouquet.

It begins all beautiful, healthy, and blooming. You get those kilig vibes when you first get it. You start taking care of it, hoping it never dies.

But as time passes, it begins to change and wither. No matter how much love and effort you pour into those flowers to keep them alive, they’re still fading. No matter how hard you try to save them, they’ve already reached the endpoint.

Just like love, time changes everything: the relationship, the person, and their feelings.

Maaaring magising ka nalang na one day, ayaw mo na. Ang taong katabi mo na dati mong pinakama-mahal, wala ka na maramdaman. Hindi na kayo katulad ng dati. Hindi na ito ang pagmamahal na gusto mo.

At higit sa lahat, hindi ka na masaya. And that hurts.

The movie is a realistic depiction of relationships. It shows the beautiful and the ugliest side of it. It shows how changes can affect the dynamics between partners. It shows the joy, the passion, the reality, and the sadness of love.

In the end, whatever happens, at least both of you once made a beautiful bouquet, right?

Overall, this is a HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED movie! ❤️

Let’s be honest, it’s impossible to beat how classic the original ‘My Sassy Girl’ is.

The 2001 Korean rom-com hit is a legend. It took the world by storm and played a huge part in the Korean wave that swept the globe. It’s iconic, lovely, and pure nostalgia. Lahat ng mga tito at tita n’yo ngayon minsan nang kinabaliwan ang pelikulang ito.

The movie has been adapted in many places worldwide, and I can honestly say the Philippine adaptation, is actually good.

Kuhang-kuha nila ang vibe ng original. Toni Gonzaga and Pepe Herrera really nailed the original characters, capturing all the nuances flawlessly. They made the characters truly stand out in their own unique way. Kung gaano kasaya, kakilig, at kalungkot ang original, nakuha nila ito sa adaptation.

I also appreciate that the movie stays true to the original.

From start to finish, they stick with the familiar storyline we all love. And I also appreciate how the cinematography captured the vibrance of their love story. It feels young and fresh, including its soothing scoring.

I just wish that they added more uniqueness to the movie.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t disappointed. I just thought it would’ve been better if the movie had something extra special to make it really shine. Plus, while watching, I didn’t always feel that spark between the main characters. It’s like they were missing that connection throughout.

Overall, if you’re curious about how good the Philippine adaptation of My Sassy Girl is, definitely check this one out!

The chemistry between Bella Padilla and JC Santos in their movies is just undeniable!

Nakaka-enjoy kasi talaga sila panuorin. The movie started out really fun, cheesy, corny and I was here for it! Bawat banter nila sa isa’t-isa natatawa talaga ako specially kapag nagku-kwento na sila ng “kwento” ng pagkikita nila.

Higit sa lahat, nakakakilig talaga sila Bella at JC panuorin!

This is a tale of two wounded souls who unexpectedly found peace and comfort in each other. Serendipity worked its magic bringing them together after a series of chance encounters. Also that day, we met two complicated people and their views of life and love.

How these perspectives shape their idea of finding “the one” for them.

I think using dreamlike shots throughout the film was smart. It made me feel like their encounter was just for a moment, as if those feelings might be fleeting like a dream. Like those feelings could slip away. I really liked it.

However, I just wished the third act could’ve been neater.

The characters, especially Astrud, are super intriguing, but I kinda wish they were written even better. The moment conflicts hit, the movie stumbled a bit. Plus, that post-credit scene didn’t really add much either.

Good thing that Bella & JC’s chemistry is spot-on! I think that’s what lifted the movie.

But overall, if you’re looking for a nakaka-kilig na movie to watch, check Wish You Were The One out!

This is all for the Lolo’s boys/girls out there.

The movie revolves around a diverse and complex relationship within a large family during their reunion. I know na maraming na ring nakaka-relate sa minsan ka na ring naipit sa family drama during a reunion!

The movie navigates two seemingly opposite plotlines initially—one focusing on the drama within the large family and the other on a sci-fi action against an AI to save the world.

But I think at its core, it’s about rekindling connections.

Both worlds depicted are in chaos. OZ, an AI world, collapses due to a virus consuming every account in the world. Simultaneously, a family attempts to maintain their relationship during a reunion, which is disrupted by one family member.

So how can they resolve this?

The answer is simple: through forgiveness, unity, and embracing their essence as a family.

I love how the movie serves as a reminder of how fragile digital connections are, highlighting how they can detach us from maintaining real-world relationships, especially within our families.

It’s a heartwarming, action-packed tale, and I really enjoyed it.

Overall, I recommend you to watch this movie! ❤️

THIS MOVIE MADE ME CRY LIKE HOLY S**T!

It’s truly one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so good.

The movie explored various themes, but I think it primarily focuses on one central question: who is the real monster here?

It presents a multi-perspective, layered exploration of this question, with each viewpoint changing the very definition of the term “monster.” As the story unfolds, the word gains more and more depth, until the very end.

I have to admit, at first, I was confused about where the movie was going. But give it time and the movie will make perfect sense at the very end.

It’s the type of film that lingers with you after watching it.

The screenplay is incredibly powerful, and when combined with skillful direction, it creates a perfect cinematic experience! The actors and actresses all deliver fantastic performances, and the scoring and cinematography? Gut-wrenching!

I really can’t say anything less perfect. It is THAT GOOD!

Overall, this is a MUST-WATCH movie! This is a gem of a movie that you should NOT miss.

Oh how I missed watching this kind of movie!

Sobrang feel-good lang. It’s got that same old rom-com formula we’ve seen a hundred times, but you know what? If it works, it works!

Ganda ng chemistry nila Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney. It feels natural. Pakiramdam ko naenjoy nila playing these characters na para lang sila naglalaro so their bond shines so strong in this movie!

I have to admit, the comedy was not consistent. Most of the time it’s a hit-and-miss. Minsan natatawa ako pero may mga part din talaga na hindi and it’s cringe.

Pero kung tatanungin n’yo ako kung kinilig ba ako? YES!

The movie filled my body with overflowing serotonin after I left the cinema. I couldn’t help but smile ear to ear like my lips were about to crack. It really made me so happy!

Sa sobrang saya ko, meron na akong nararamdamang good vibes whenever I play the song ‘Unwritten’ by Natasha Bedingfield!

Overall, if you only want to watch a kilig movie in cinemas, I recommend this movie!

Grabe, para tayong binalik ni Janno Gibbs sa 80s and 90s action-comedy movies!

This movie feels like an ultimate time capsule to our classic action-comedy movies. The slapsticks were there, the over-the-top action sequences were there, the parodies, punchlines—everything that we loved about watching these classic movies were there.

I really like Janno and Xia’s father-and-daughter relationship. Nakakatuwa na makita si Xia sa big screen now that she’s getting older. I really like that she’s showing range with her movies and this proves na kaya rin n’ya ang comedy.

I also did not expect Louise delos Reyes to stand out in comedies too! Para lang din n’yang ine-enjoy ang pelikula and it feels that she’s natural in comedies too. I would love to see her do more comedies.

But the true standout of the film is Sir Ronaldo Valdez’s appearance. His presence on the screen touched my heart. Everyone applauded in cinemas. It’s a moment of respect and honor for our beloved Lolo Sir!

While the movie feels like it pays homage to 80s and 90s action-comedy films, I’m unsure if it effectively conveys its message. Some punchlines fell flat, and certain jokes felt outdated. I’ll be honest, some moments made me cringe at how the comedies were executed.

But overall, if you like an entertaining movie to watch, check Itutumba Ka Ng Tatay ko out!

There’s always something about Jenna Ortega that captivates me.

Jenna never fails to impress in any performance she delivers. She portrays a character that is both seductive and menacing in this movie. Although her character is quite unhinged, I still find myself drawn to her.

Jenna is truly an amazing actress, and I always anticipate every movie she stars in. I’ve never been disappointed by her talent.

The movie explores thought-provoking themes, primarily focusing on the consequences of blurring the boundaries between a teacher and a student.

The film aims to make viewers uncomfortable with the growing relationship between the two characters. It successfully creates a sense of unease, making viewers question who is truly blurring the lines.

Also, one of the major themes the movie addresses is the essence of adulthood. It explores the responsibilities and boundaries one should establish in adulthood, although I really wish this aspect had been explored more deeply.

The cinematography beautifully complements the overall tone of the movie. I genuinely like Jenna’s narration and the intercuts showcasing the bond between her and Martin Freeman. It feels like I’m watching her stories unfold.

Overall, if you’re looking for a thought-provoking movie to watch, check Miller’s Girl out!

You will never know what to expect from this movie—and that’s what I enjoy the most in horror/thriller movies!

Solid ng twists and turns. The film incorporates many horror cliches to depict the struggles of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at the hands of abusive and exploitative employers. Although, I think of this as more of a thriller than horror.

I would describe this movie as a blend of 𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘖𝘶𝘵 and 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦. Both share dark themes of racism, classism, and exploitation but don’t always take a serious route. A fun ride, much like Raging Grace.

The lead cast delivers impressive performances, especially Max Eigenmann. You can feel the fear she portrays, yet you’ll understand where she’s coming from. That monologue at the end? Chef’s kiss!

Joy is too kind for this world. Buti nalang nanggi-gigil si Grace!

The cinematography is excellent. You’ll sense the anxiety as the camera moves along with the characters. Combine that with the thrilling score, talagang sulit ang movie experience mo!

This film serves as an ode to all overseas Filipino workers. It’s important to acknowledge the hardships they endure while working abroad to secure a better life.

Overall, I recommend this movie!

Ang mahalaga ay sama-sama n’yo ‘to tatahakin, hanggang dulo.

Ipinapakita ng pelikula ang importansya ng friendships at chosen family. Kung gaano ka-importante na may masasandalan ka sa oras ng pangangailangan.

Also how important it is to check in with your friends, especially if they are going through a lot.

movie also accepts the reality that over time, you’ll have your own life and individuality Maarinmaramdaman mong naiiwan ka. Maaring hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon ay kaya mong magkwento sa kanila. Maaring maramdaman mong hindi mo pa kayang makipag-kita’t makipag-usap.

And that’s okay. What’s important is knowing that you have friends you can always go back to, 𝘯𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵.

The tight and intricate script by Candy Pangilinan really lifted the movie. The comedic chops don’t mess up the movie’s vibe. We get to know each character as they go through their journey. Plus, the fact that this is Candy’s debut screenplay has me excited for the more awesome stories she’ll create in the future.

Also, Carmina Villarroel, Gelli de Belen, and Janice de Belen bring these characters to life so amazingly that it’s impossible not to fall in love with them. The on-screen chemistry between the four doesn’t feel forced; they truly embody the friendship of Maricar, Chiqui, Sophia, and Gigi.

Laging tatandaan na sa isang Roadtip, hindi palaging masaya. Minsan nakakapagod. Minsan naga-away. Minsan gusto mo nalang magpa-iwan. Minsan mapapasuko ka.

But this tough journey is what makes friendships stronger, and the memories you create along the way are what keep them bonded.

Overall, this is a highly recommended movie.

Cassie, a private investigator, is determined to unveil the secrets of a family to bring justice to the death of her mentor.

I appreciate how the movie quickly establishes the close relationship between Cassie and her mentor. This allows viewers to empathize with her during the investigation.

I also appreciate that the movie has a lot of strong women characters. It’s refreshing to watch women taking the lead in a crime thriller movie.

Dark and disturbing themes revolve around the characters of Jamie and Cassie, both dealing with trauma but demonstrating different approaches to seeking justice. This showcased opposing sides of the law, adding intrigue to the movie.

Kudos to Alice Eve, Antonio Banderas, and Shelley Hennig for their performances of the main characters. They bring depth to their characters, portraying each role with distinct nuances.

However, I think enhancing the storytelling could’ve made this movie more impactful.

The lack of depth in the story held the potential to explore the dark themes it set up. The timing of the flashbacks also caused a bit of confusion in the timeline. Also, improving the practical effects and action sequences could’ve elevated the movie.

But overall if you’re looking for an intriguing crime thriller to watch, then check this out.

This is a tale of acceptance and goodbyes.

A boy struggles to move forward due to the trauma of the past. An old man is struggling to find a successor for the castle he has built.

Both are lost souls struggling to find acceptance through goodbyes.

One line struck me the most while watching the movie: “Forgetting is normal.”

Grief is a complicated process that not everyone can understand, and forgetting is a part of how we can cope with it. It’s challenging to cling to pain and not know how to deal with it. We shouldn’t feel guilty for choosing to forget memories to find acceptance.

It has never been wrong to choose to forget to move forward.

For decades, Miyazaki has given us incredible and magical worlds. Despite attempting retirement several times, he keeps coming back, consistently gifting us the magic of his works that resonates in our world. He continuously marks his legacy in every story he creates.

However, this movie feels like a personal farewell letter to the world he has built. The castle, constructed by the 80-year-old legend, is starting to crumble. He is now letting the stories fly out to reach the world. As he grows older, there’s a possibility that he’s thinking about retiring and passing on his legacy.

We’re starting to wonder if this is his last goodbye. But we’re not sure. We just don’t know.

There’s a lot to unpack here. I won’t lie; I didn’t understand everything. Yet, I understand what I felt after watching it. We have different ways of saying goodbyes, and The Boy and The Heron grasp the beauty of acceptance.

Overall, this is a must-watch movie! 🎬❤️

In response to the public clamor, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is proud to announce that the theatrical run of its 10 movie entries is extended.

MMDA Acting Chairman and MMFF Overall Concurrent Chairman Atty. Don Artes said the MMFF and MMDA have received numerous calls and requests on social media to extend the exhibition of the MMFF 2023 films, which is supposed to end today.

"We at the MMFF would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who have supported us and watched the movie entries, particularly those who requested for the MMFF movies to extend beyond its original run," said Atty. Artes.

"Marami pong salamat sa inyong patuloy na pagtangkilik. Moviegoers, may mga karagdagang araw pa para panoorin lahat ng MMFF entries."

Aside from giving a week to catch the 10 festival entries, MMFF complimentary passes will also be honored until January 14.

Meanwhile, Atty. Artes said the 49th MMFF has already earned one billion to date, surpassing the performance of the 2022 festival's P500 million earnings.

Atty. Artes said they are hopeful that earnings will increase as moviegoers watch more entries.

"Truly, MMFF 2023 is a certified box office hit. This is a good sign as we gear up for the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF)," said Atty. Artes.

The 10 movie in MMFF 2023 movie lineup are: “A Family of 2 (A Mother and Son Story),” “(K)Ampon,” “Penduko,” “Rewind,” “Becky and Badette,” “Broken Heart’s Trip,” “Firefly,” “GomBurZa,” “Mallari,” and “When I Met You in Tokyo.”

The 10 official entries are set to be screened at the inaugural MIFF on January 29 to February 2, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

The 49th edition of the MMFF is presented in partnership with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

Organized by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the MMFF is aimed primarily at promoting and enhancing the preservation of Philippine cinema.

Proceeds from the MMFF go to a number of beneficiaries in the film industry, such as the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund), the Film Academy of the Philippines, the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, the Optical Media Board, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 (2023) 🎬

The exploration of how we depend too much on modern technology is a thought-provoking topic.

It has a lot of intriguing ideas. It's scary to think about our world falling apart if we can't rely on our tech anymore. We've already become so dependent on technology for survival that we can’t have our source of information and communication without it. And that’s scary!

I love how the movie sets up the tension. It uses uncomfortable and weird shots that set the tone of their world, sensing that there’s something wrong with it, that something is happening in it, and that someone knows what’s going on but is keeping it a secret.

Their world is going crazy, but you don’t know if the people around them can still be trusted or not.

The movie has a great cast, excellent cinematography, and uncomfortable and weird moments. Although I think it overstayed a bit. There are moments where it feels like nothing much is going on, and the movie sometimes slows down to the point that you might find yourself less engaged. And the movie ends abruptly, leaving you craving for more

But overall, I still had a good time watching it. 🙌
