📍Save this FOR SURE if you are in Bangkok. A 40 to 50 minute ride from Bangkok will lead you to this amazing Dragon Temple. This is definitely a hidden gem that very few know about. When I first saw this temple on Instagram, I thought it was a 3D model, but it actually exists in reality and looks just like a forest. It's a whole building that is a temple, and the dragon wraps around it. As you walk, you can actually venture inside the dragon all the way up to the top.

It's almost like your birthday. You can wish for certain things when you touch certain dragon parts at the bottom and at the top. The temple might ask you for a small donation before you go up, so make sure you have some cash with you. If you are claustrophobic, maybe it's not a good idea to walk inside the dragon because it is about a seven-minute walk and there are no windows there. So make sure you are aware of that. And it might be slightly moldy in there, so be prepared.

You will have to walk barefoot inside the temple, and of course, wear proper attire. As with any temple in Thailand, your shoulders and your knees have to be covered, so ensure you wear trousers that are past your knees and have your shoulders covered. It's hot in there, so wear something light.

I personally recommend going there in the morning when the temple just opens, as there are very few people. Some monks might approach you and explain what the temple is about, sharing a little bit about its history, which is very nice. There is also a fountain, the dragon fountain, where you can drop little coins to each part of the dragon. Depending on where you were able to throw your coin, you can wish for different things, which is very cool.

❗️☕️ Save this one for the truly best place to have a healthy breakfast in Bangkok. (Not Just) Another Cup is quite literally not just another cup 😂😂😂 Officially, this is now the best spot for a morning meal unless I stumble upon a new one, lol.

• The variety of breakfast options is unparalleled; I don’t think I’ve seen such a range even in Miami Beach, the mecca of healthy eating. There are around 50 options, plus you can add any imaginable item to any breakfast you choose (whether it’s a classic English breakfast with top-notch ingredients, a healthy keto option with fried salumi cheese, freshly made juices, or smoothies) - if you name it, they have it.
• I really appreciate their emphasis on promoting healthy eating. If you’re keen on taking care of your body, this cafe is your go-to. I adore places like this.
• The cafe is a spacious new venue spanning two floors, complete with air conditioning. They also offer outdoor seating, providing an abundance of seating options.
• Additionally, there’s a “valet” attendant who assists with parking.
• The waitstaff’s understanding of English makes ordering a breeze. They afford you ample time to familiarize yourself with the menu, demonstrating the manager’s clear sense of care.
• The cappuccino is just as it should be—nice and creamy, served in a perfect cup.

😁❗️Save this if you're a tourist who doesn't speak Thai and you want to try Northern Thai authentic food, Kaylang House is perfect for your gastronomic adventure. Determining what to order is made easier with pictures on the walls and a friendly owner who will tell you what's spicy and what's not (hint: there are only few non-spicy dishes lol). It's like the owner knew our Thai vocabulary was limited to 'hello' and 'thank you,' so he turned the walls into a picture menu. Seriously, it's an excellent authentic spot that has been here long before I was born. I highly recommend it, especially since there aren't many other options around in this neighborhood.

Tucked away by Siam Center, Sip ‘n Drip Coffee Shop .bangkok is the kind of place you stumble upon when you take a wrong turn, but then you’re glad you did. It's a convenient spot for a caffeine fix if you're lodged in a nearby hotel and the Siam Paragon’s and MBK center’s retail therapy hasn’t exhausted you yet. They don’t just stop at coffee; they also serve lagers, so if your shopping spree doesn’t empty your wallet, you have a spot to mull over your financial decisions with a brew in hand before retreating to your hotel. We didn’t get to see the coffee art that we saw in Google review photos - perhaps the barista was having a less-than-artsy day. However, the coffee still tasted really good, proving that sometimes, substance can triumph over style! 😁☕️ definitely save this one!

☕️ Save this if you enjoy a place where mushrooms masquerade as kombucha brewers in large jars and coffee beans line up for your approval, hoping to be the chosen ones for your morning brew in Characteristic Coffee Roasters

The most beguiling aspect of this quaint haven is its homemade kombucha, showcased in large jars where the brewing process unveils right before your eyes, a blend of nature's finest with a touch of the mystical.

In the heart of Bangkok, tucked away in the lush enclave of Sukhumvit 105, resides this quaint haven for coffee aficionados alike. Upon entering, you're greeted by the aforementioned sight of homemade kombucha, a testimony to the health-conscious ethos of this snug retreat.

The coffee expedition here is truly one of a kind; the choice is yours to make, quite literally. With an option to select your own coffee beans, every cup feels personal, and the cappuccino, it’s a frothy dream served alongside a refreshing glass of iced water, just as it should be. And, if your morning demands a hearty meal, their diverse menu of Thai breakfast dishes and waffles won’t disappoint.

Now, let’s talk about space; it’s cozy, quiet, and impeccably clean, with a small parking lot accommodating up to five cars—a rare find in bustling Bangkok. The greenery enveloping the cafe further amplifies its serene ambiance, providing a perfect escape from the urban chaos.

Moreover, their offerings don’t just end at caffeinated beverages; a variety of Thai food for breakfast and the sweet crunch of waffles add a comforting touch to the already warm and inviting atmosphere.

In a city where cafes are aplenty, Characteristics Coffee Roasters makes its mark not just with its exceptional coffee but with its tranquil setting and a penchant for quality in every aspect. Whether it’s the friendly barista who runs with an umbrella for you in the midst of the monsoon or the peaceful aura that surrounds, this place is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a daily retreat awaiting your arrival.

When I was sixteen, my mom's fashion choices seemed, to put it politely, old-fashioned. I once scoffed, asking my aunt, "Why does mom's hair just hang there?" But as time has a peculiar habit of making us understand others, twenty years later, I found myself with the same boring hair, chuckling at life's ironic turns.

Later on, I was in Thailand, a country bursting with culture and unique beauty standards. They'd call foreigners "Farang", and I'd heard stories of Thai hairdressers being cautious about cutting farang hair. Yet, the glitzy salons in Bangkok's animated streets lured me in.

Having grown up watching Asian cinema, seeing people flaunt various hair colors in real life was enthralling. Craving a change, I entered a salon. Their method of dry cutting was to say at most - interesting. As scissors approached, I pondered the outcome.

These salons primarily had one English speaker: the receptionist. Armed with just a photo, I hoped my hairstyle wishes wouldn't be lost in translation. For color? I had no guide. Spotting a stylist with edgy highlights, I boldly pointed, wanting the tousled, imperfect version of her style.

She met my eyes through the mirror, taken aback. "Like mine?" she questioned. Noticing her hesitancy, I assuredly nodded.

My hair journey's been a roller-coaster. Once, my dad commented I wasn't the type to effortlessly look good just by shaking out my hair. Those words propelled me on a mission. Now, as shears moved around my head, and colors were debated, I yearned to discover that perfect style. The kind where I could simply shake my hair and confidently step into the day, contradicting my dad's words.

With 5000000000+ massage shops in Bangkok on every corner - PELA .th stands out. Dive into a world of relaxation smack in the middle of in Siam Square, PELA became my go-to after just two visits.
Always opting for the 60 minutes foot, head, neck, and hand massage, and here’s why:
1- Consistency in delivering strong, uncompromised massages stands out. Located conveniently in Siam Square, I've been a repeat customer.
Chose the 60 minutes foot, head, neck, and hand massage on both visits.
2- The ambiance immediately pulls you into a tranquil world, aided by gentle, authentic music.
3- Chairs uniquely transform into laying solutions, enhancing the massage experience.
4- Payment is hassle-free, made immediately upon entry.
5- Personal belongings, including shoes, are taken care of, replaced with comfy sleepers.
6- Pre-massage foot scrub ensures you're relaxed and ready.

Save Bean Hound Coffee Shop for you next Siam Paragon Shopping Mall coffee stop 📍

Those cups may look like they were pulled out of a recycling bin, but they're actually glass. Your dental insurance will thank you for not biting into them.

2- The coffee is the star of the show, boasting both visual pizzazz and a taste that'll make your taste buds apply for permanent residency.

3- If you think Bean Hound is a one-hit wonder, you're sorely mistaken. It's the cool cousin in a large family of "Hound" cafes and home displays. Yes, they're like the Kardashians but for cafes.

4- Enjoy your latte with a side of pond. No, you can't fish in it, but it does offer a modicum of tranquility in your otherwise hectic Siam Paragon Mall.

5- The seating here seems to be a crash course in yogic postures. Not the most comfortable, but you'll be done with your coffee before your spine files a complaint.

6- Located in Siam Paragon Shopping Mall in Paramore, which sounds like a band your teenage self loved, but is actually a quiet, upscale neighborhood. Perfect for sipping coffee without being drowned out by street performers or honking horns.

7- Quick bonus: If you've shopped till you've nearly dropped at Discovery Shopping Mall, this spot is your caffeinated lifebuoy.

8- It's worth noting that this is not a place to set up your home office. Come, sip, enjoy the pond, then leave and make room for the next tranquility-seeker.

Tasty Congee & Noddle Wantun Shop in Siam Paragon is conveniently located by one of the far exits, ensuring a peaceful and less crowded dining experience. Trust me you don’t want to fight crowds in a food court on Saturday 😁 in

1- Their menu boasts a delectable roasted duck and their signature soup with a variety of wontons is a must-try.

2- A standout from their wonton selection is the shrimp wonton. Trust me, it's unlike any you've tasted before. It has like all kinds of interesting things inside together with the whole shrimp that is nice and chewy 🦐❤️

3- Each soup serving includes 3 wontons paired with thin, curly noodles which perfectly complement the broth.

4- Refreshment options extend beyond their rich soups; they offer fresh coconut and a variety of soft drinks.

5- A standing ovation is due for the waiting staff. Their enthusiasm for their job was evident and their service impeccable.

Lhao Lhao surviving since the ‘80s and still pulling crowds—makes you wonder what’s their secret sauce. Situated in Phaya Thai, staff folded our Bromptons with the ease of a surgeon. Now, the menu is seafood-heavy, but keep an eye on the pricing; it’s by 100 grams. I had tiger shrimps with noodles—utterly delightful. The husband got steamed seabass, served on a plate ablaze. Oh, Central World in Bangkok, the city's very own Everest of capitalism. But let's cut to the chase: If you're navigating this retail juggernaut and hunger pangs ambush you, set your GPS for AKA Yakiniku. Just don't expect a long, languorous dinner; this place runs a tight ship—1 hour and 30 minutes of gastronomic ecstasy, clocked to the second.

Let's chew over that 700-baht premium package. It's like winning the culinary lottery, but instead of a giant cheque, you get a smorgasbord of River whole shrimps, an array of fish, and prime cuts of meat. Unlike those other yakiniku establishments that think the ocean is just that big puddle next to the beach, AKA Yakiniku embraces its seafood. No wonder—Thailand is the world’s fourth-largest seafood producer, and clearly, AKA Yakiniku is doing its part to showcase this maritime treasure.

Salads and delicatessens? Not mere sides, my friends, but co-stars in a riveting drama where every bite has a speaking part.

Sure, the setting may lack that swanky speakeasy vibe. Let's just call it 'mall chic'—less of a scenic backdrop and more of a stage where the food does all the talking. Given the time constraint, you'll appreciate the no-nonsense setting. Who needs frivolous decor when your plate is a kaleidoscope of colors and flavors?

In the heart of Bangkok's commercial paradise, 700 baht for this culinary tour is, dare I say it, a bargain. If you're drawn into the siren song of Central World, let AKA Yakiniku be your moment of culinary salvation. Because let's be real—sometimes life’s finest luxuries are timed to an hour and a half. Four stars, not just for what's on the plate, but for the audacity to be exceptional in a sea of the ordinary.

Place: AKA Yakiniku
Location: Central World Mall 999/9 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330

Ah, you see, there I was in the heart of Ratchathewi, Bangkok, my soul thirsting for a haven amidst the city's ceaseless clamor. I had roamed countless streets, each echoing with the mundane cacophony of everyday life. I'm not one to grow weary easily, but even roamers like me need a sanctuary to retreat, recoup, and perhaps indulge in thoughts far removed from the commonplace.

That's when it happened—nestled under a bridge like a secret waiting to be discovered, I found The Palette Coffee Shop. The establishment stood out like a vivid stroke on a blank canvas. A beautifully renovated edifice greeted me—a mix of concrete, wood, and authentic dashes of Asian culture that resonated deeply with the wanderlust in my soul.

I ventured in and ordered a cup of coffee. A bewitching aroma filled the air, and the first sip confirmed what the aroma had promised: this was one of the finest coffees I had tasted in Bangkok. A marvel that would please even the most discerning of palates. And fear not, my vegan roamers, for here, in this delightful sanctuary, plant-based milks are celebrated with exuberance.

Spread across two floors, The Palette unfolds like a prose poem, inviting you to explore its myriad cozy corners. Comfortable seating, atmospheric lighting—every aspect curated to perfection, building an ambiance that inspires both quietude and conviviality.

So, my fellow roamers, etch this place in your minds and make it a cornerstone of your Bangkok adventures. And while you're charting paths less trodden, let's keep the dialogue alive. Follow me, Roaming Yana , on your favored social platforms for more adventures worth scribing into your life's narrative.

Day 6, 11:39 pm

Let's flip this adventure script and start from the end. Tampons, folks, were tracked down and acquired in quantities that could probably last me until the next eclipse. Now, onto today's curious discovery. My stomach's been staging a mini rebellion, and it turns out the culprit is that fancy new dietary fiber from I've been experimenting with. Looks like it's got a secret stash of sugar in it. My gut's doing the twist and shout, but I'm banking on its adaptability.

Speaking of sweet situations, Thailand takes the cake. Everything here, from yogurts to coffee, has a sugar obsession. Even when you ask for something unsweetened, there's a lingering fear that it might just surprise you with sweetness. It's basically a sweet tooth's paradise! 🍬☕

Day 3, 11:38 PM. Midnight's nearly here, and just like Cinderella, I realize I'm late to the storytelling ball. On today's agenda: a biking escapade in the bustling heart of Bangkok.

Our bikes gleam like we're in a two-wheel beauty pageant as we glide over bridges. Boats in the canal below take on waves with gusto—nature's version of a roller coaster. Houses sport power lines like unconventional garden decor. We're the new kids on this block with our polished rides, but hey, we're here for the charm.

Now for some java. We find a bakery that's supposedly Bangkok's best, but W pulls a curveball and gets coffee next door. Coffee roulette? I'm in.

Taxi challenge: you'd think Bromptons would be trunk-friendly, right? Nope, this driver's trunk is a propane sanctuary. So we go Plan B—bike laps inside a taxi adorned with white leather. Elegant and risky, like eating spaghetti in a wedding dress. We arrive without a hitch, though.

The Brompton store is a stunner. They may not have what we need, but oh, the things we didn't know we wanted! Another shop down the street delivers on the lock and mirror. It's like a mini bike treasure hunt!

Quick pit stops include leaking fruits from a local market and W's universally appealing haircut. Then we're on to the taxi game, where W moonlights as a human GPS holder because why not?

Back to collect our bikes, which are getting the five-star treatment from We might as well explore a bit more while we wait, and this city doesn't disappoint. We stumble upon a mall so eclectic it has brands I assumed were urban legends.

In the end, Bangkok’s rich tapestry makes every twist and turn an adventure. Biking through contrasts, savoring hidden gems, and reveling in the unexpected—today's been a ride to remember. Ah, the city in all its quirky glory.

Here are some pictures for proof 🤣
