Line of Sight Aerial was recently able to obtain an airspace authorization to fly a drone directly on a class D controlled airport. This authorization is for the downtown Kansas City airport and was the first time in KMKC's history that a drone was authorized to fly on airport property.

Flying drones safely and legally is our top priority. We work hard to get our clients the shots they need for the project!

New work for Hy-Vee!

Last winter, we provided both FPV and Inspire 2 drone systems for the newest series of Hy-Vee ads featuring Indy 500 racer Jack Harvey. We had an absolute blast chasing him around the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

We had the opportunity to collaborate with City Utilities of Springfield, MO, and 417 Drone Imaging to fly our FPV system during the implosion of the retired James River power plant at Springfield Lake.

At over 70mph, our Lead Pilot Tim Michalak chased down the smokestacks for a once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Our lead pilot, Tim Michalak just received an updated 107.39 wavier that now allows us to fly over crowds of people while at night! This was achieved by combining two of our current existing waivers, 107.29 (daylight operations) and our 107.39 (flight over human beings).

Currently, there are around 100 waivers for "flight over people" held by companies in the United States. Out of those 100 waivers, only a handfull include a 107.29 waiver that would allow a UAS pilot to fly over a crowd of people at night. This makes Line of Sight Aerial one of the only companies in the nation to legally perform these types of drone operations.

Hot off the press!🔥🔥 We just got in our new safety vests for our most recent 107.39 wavier (flight over people). Part of the terms of this waiver require everyone in the flight crew to wear visible clothing signifying that they are part of the drone operation.
Safety is a huge priority for us. That being said, we're glad we were able to find reflective safety vests in black so we don't look like a giant highlighter while on set. 😂

Rapha

We loved working with Rapha to produce some of the aerials in their latest project. Our Inspire 2 kit was used in conjunction with a helicopter with a Red 8K to help get some tighter shots that the helicopter couldn't get.
