Unchained Soul Records is thrilled to commemorate its six-month anniversary, marking a dynamic journey through the drum and bass scene. From our very first release, the Bass Cargo EP, we've been dedicated to unleashing raw, unshackled soundscapes that resonate with the core of drum and bass enthusiasts.
June marked the kickoff KCMO's explosive mix of the Bass Cargo EP. Our debut, the Bass Cargo EP, featured stellar tracks like KCMO's "TREMORS", DJRED's "MAKE A SOUND", LGI's "BY THE THROAT", Totallywykd's "WALK THE LINE", and the powerful collaboration between KCMO and TOTALLYWYKD, "AKA MANAH".
This was followed by a series of free downloads, including Grimmy DnB first release, big bass tracks like ECHOES OF THE UNDERGROUND (UCSFREE002) and the compelling collaboration with TOTALLYWYKD, "CHEMICALS" (UCSFREE003) really amped up our collective sound.
August saw DJRED drop his electrifying RAVE EP, ESCAPE THE FUTURE, pushing the boundaries of rave culture with sparks of old school sounds while incorporating a new age injection.
In early September, Nathan Essex took the decks with a set that left everyone buzzing, followed by Absolute Magnitude stunning tracks in mid-September 'CYPERNETIC' & ODDITY rolling towards MINDUK's (De Nestor) Dark Minimal guest mix at the end of September.
To date, we have released 7 free downloads, with an additional 3 to come before the end of the year, including our highly anticipated Christmas Bass Box.
Looking ahead, we're excited to announce the upcoming release of the HEAVEN OR HELL album, set to drop on October 22, 2024. This album promises to be a pivotal moment in our label's journey, showcasing the relentless sonic intensity that defines Unchained Soul Records.
Our connections extend beyond our releases; we are proud to be associated with Drum Base, a 24/7 rolling no ADs underground drum and bass online radio station, and Global Groove Radio, a multi-genre online radio platform. Together, we are committed to bringing the best of underground music to a global audience.
