Gear up and showcase your electrifying moves in celebrating the 𝑷𝒀𝑫𝑪 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 - 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒐 𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏. Groove to the beat, unleash your creativity, and let your passion for dance ignite the stage as we bring you the 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑.

Below are the guidelines and other pertinent details about the event.

𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬:
1. All contestants must be 30 years old and below and residents of Davao del Sur.
2. Each municipality and college may have one team only.
3. Each team may consist of 5-8 members only. All-male, all-female, or mixed groups are allowed.
4. Each team must bring a copy of their music on the day of the competition. (This will be checked by the technical team before the event.)
5. Pointed jewelry is strictly prohibited during the performance.
6. Costumes must adhere to hip-hop dance attire and be free of dangerous items such as pins and pointy objects.
7. The performance, including preparation, entrance, and exit, must be 3-5 minutes only.
8. Excessive props, such as fire and backdrops, are not allowed.
9. Participants are required to arrive at 3:00 PM for a briefing, stage blocking, and drawing of lots for the order of entries. Each participating entry will be allotted 10 minutes for stage blocking.
10. The competition is limited to 5 entries only. We will accommodate entries on a first-come, first-served basis.
11. Failure to comply with any rule will result in deductions.
12. The organizers reserve the full right to modify any specific or general guidelines, provided that participants are duly notified of the changes.

The Davao del Sur Youth Development Council deeply regrets to inform the Linggo ng Kabataan finalists that the FOLKDANCE COMPETITION has been rescheduled to December 6, 2023, at 6:00 PM due to unforeseen circumstances.

We understand that this change may cause inconvenience, and we offer our sincere apologies for any disruption it may cause to your preparation and plans. We remain committed to providing a platform for our youth to showcase their talents and celebrate their potential, and we believe that this decision will allow us to create a more exceptional and memorable event.

YESTERDAY | August 18, 2023 - The Davao del Sur Youth Development Office (DSYDO) held its 8th Regular Council Meeting yesterday at Ralota Hall, Davao del Sur Coliseum, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

During the meeting, internal rules of procedures and regulations were discussed for the second reading. The aim was to ensure seamless operations and conduct of sessions and enforce discipline among the council members. Additionally, urgent matters were discussed and thoroughly reviewed to ensure the preparedness of the council's plans.

The DSYDO remains committed to working excellently and always goes the extra mile to deliver youth-centered and quality programs to its fellow Davsuranon youth.

Youth for Peace Teacher Volunteers Granted Financial Aid from Governor Cagas

In a heartening gesture of support, the dedicated Provincial Youth Development Council Member Organization - Youth for Peace (YFP) volunteer teachers, who volunteered in the Peace and Development Alternative Literacy System (PeDALS) II Program at Sitio Sultana, Brgy. Dongan Pekong, Matanao, from October 14, 2022, to April 28, 2023, were recipients of a generous financial assistance initiative. This thoughtful contribution was extended by Hon. Yvonne Cagas, the esteemed Governor of Davao del Sur, through the esteemed Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), under the capable leadership of Geraldine S. Lano. The facilitation of this initiative was made possible by the Provincial Youth Development Officer (PYDO) Designate, Alvin S. Reyes.

YESTERDAY | DavSur Youth Development Council Joins DAVAO-SOCCSKSARGEN Local Youth Assembly

Participated by youth champions hailing from Regions 11 and 12, the Davao del Sur Youth Development Council participated in the dynamic DAVAO-SOCCSKSARGEN Local Youth Assembly organized by the Leaders United for Progressive Advocacies of DAVAO-SOCCSKSARGEN (LUPAD) Youth Coalition at Holy Cross College of Davao on August 4.

Various youth organizations from Regions 11 and 12 gather to become well-acquainted with the mission, visions, and goals of the LUPAD coalition, which also extends an encouraging invitation to join their ranks.

The council members are currently deliberating on whether to align with the mentioned coalition, but they are strongly considering the proposal. This decision holds significance as it would strengthen their network, enabling connections with other youth organizations in Regions 11 and 12. These connections would play a pivotal role in realizing their programs and initiatives for the youth of Davao del Sur.

LUPAD stands as a coalition of youth-led organizations, youth-serving organizations, as well as youth community and school leaders in the Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN Region. The central focus of this coalition lies in youth development, the preservation of culture, history, arts, and the empowerment of tourism.
