Stengade was the first venue I went to find likeminded people in Copenhagen. 'Low Pass' was the regular Wednesday night bass night run by RDG and it's there that I began to meet many local crew into UK bass music and Reggae/Dub.

Here's the story and a little info behind the production of my latest release, 'Waratah'. Originally titled, 'The Gathering' this one started it's life at our shared studio in Copenhagen on my birthday back in 2017.

'Brazilian' on the Common Audio show this week. Awesome.

I've been working on a jazzy dubstep track at 140bpm with guitar and bass which will be the next Ved Sengen release. I'll post a link when it's closer to being complete.

The Innamind Recordings label represents the weirder, leftfield and sometimes psychedelic side of dubstep that I like. I've been enjoying their mixes these past few days whilst working on promo for 'Brazilian'.

I also spent time valuating and organising dubstep projects so I can complete some golden oldies before I start building new tracks.

Listening to mixes is a good primer for another stint of production. There's so many talented producers that inspire me to create something that's both interesting and high quality.

I've been getting some good feedback on the 'Brazilian' tune. You can check out some of the comments and reactions on the V.S. SoundCloud. Big thanks for those who have given it a spin.

'Brazilian' is heavily inspired by dubstep, but it doesn't fit neatly into the genre which I guess is a good thing? The bass reminds me of the distorted synth sounds used by Scorn.

If you're interested in watching production tutorials, I recommend these Noisia videos (via their Patreon); plus Amit's Audio Science Online and Stranjah's channel on YouTube.

DJ Affiks also introduced me to EPROM's videos on YouTube last night which I also enjoyed. It's a great time to get into electronic music with all of these resources about the place.
