Dare to… Wait

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14 ESV

Wait…at times that can be the most exhausting four letter word. We are living in an instantaneous age, filled with rapid fire information, services and entertainment. Waiting is not only at times exhausting, it is a concept bordering on extinction.

Why when the world says, “move!” why does God say, “wait?” Think about the waiting endured in our lives. Long moments spent in the desert clinging to faith and prayer that family members will be saved, that a more fulfilling job will come our way, that increased finances will bless our path, that health will be restored to a loved one, that we will find the soulmate God has intended for us and so on and so on. Ladies, if you’re looking for a good book to read, here is a great one. It helped me walk through the many things that occupy my mind and my heart. Regrets, guilt, forgiveness, love, rest, fully trusting God, surrender... it’s all in here. Great way of taking inventory of where you are, lifting up all things to the Lord and letting go/set free.
