How Songs Are Made
FOR KIDS AGES 11-15

Date: SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 2024
Time: 2-6 pm
Venue: Bon Ton Resorts

This is a RARE opportunity for kids ages 11-15 to get first-hand exposure to the music production process. Starting with a live jamming session, kids will be shown the process of how songs are recorded and mixed to make them album ready.

The workshop will be led by three of Malaysia’s leading international music talents:
ZEE AVI: one of Malaysia’s first music stars to make her international mark and whose songs have been featured on popular shows including Gossip Girl, The Good Doctor, Master’s Sun and the movie 21 Jumpstreet.

RENDRA ZAWAWI: an award-winning music composer, songwriter, producer, and musician whose credentials include work on M For Malaysia, Ola Bola, American Horror Story & Mr Robot.

ALVIN WEE: a Grammy Award winning music mixer, recording engineer and music producer for film, television, virtual reality and video games.
His recent credits include music mixing Disney’s Encanto, which has received more than 15 award nominations, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score.

Workshop will be conducted in English and BM. No music experience is needed, but interest in music is key.
