Our scripture of the week is Ephesians 4:22-24

The first three words stuck with me the most “you were taught”. Sis, that alone confirms that the burden you’re carrying is not a burden your father intended for you to carry. He doesn’t expect us to have the answers, get it “right”, be self made, and soooo independent. Matter of fact, the past that’s holding you back from embracing Him fully is a past that He already knows about and WILL USE IT FOR YOUR GOOD.

But let’s focus on what this verse tells us we were taught...

đź’šPut off your old self
Colossians 3:5-10

đź’šBe made new in the attitude of your minds
Philippians 4:8
Romans 12:2
2 Corinthians 10:5

đź’šPut on the new self
This is a continous process, sis. This includes adopting your new identity in Christ, shifting your mindset from ways of the world to ways of God, turning away from sinful habits and patterns, and embracing a lifestyle of love, righteousness, and holiness.

I encourage you to mediate on this truth this week. I have provided extra scriptures for reference just in case you need to meditate on a particular part. Write it down, post it some where, repeat it until it’s memorized and printed in your heart.

Hey sis! đź’š

This week’s scripture is Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

My study bible defines delight as something that gives great pleasure ; to enjoy

So sis, don’t skip over the first part. Yes, God will give you the desires of your heart BUT first you must find pleasure in Him. You must enjoy a life that alligns with His standard. You must enjoy living a life that’s reflective of who God has called you to be.

Confidence & Comfort for 2024đź’š

There are so many things that can be taken away from Romans 8.

Here are a few of mine:

*the way to life and peace is through the Spirit

*we must SEEK God daily

*God will use ALL things for our good but this doesn’t mean we will never experience “bad” instead it let’s us know that we can TRUST that God will make good use of it

*if God is for me WHO can be against me?!!

*we are MORE than conquerors through Him who loved us

*NOTHING can separate us from the love of God

Hey sis,

Isn't it amazing to serve our wonderful God? He generously grants wisdom to those who seek it, His love knows no bounds, He forgives without reservation, and He believes in the potential of producing good works through us.
The "good work" that resides within you can only come to fruition within the confines of God's will. It cannot be accomplished by your own strength or knowledge. Instead, it is a result of the Holy Spirit working in and through you. To experience this transformative process, you must earnestly seek God for understanding, and let His Kingdom be your guiding light. Additionally, you must let go of your old ways and surrender yourself entirely to His divine plan.

Only then will God reveal His thoughts and plans to you, and only then can He bring that God-sized dream to pass. Surrender is essential, but it goes beyond that; it requires full commitment to His way. It necessitates leaving behind your former self to be renewed and transformed by His power.

Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." This scripture emphasizes the importance of leaning on God and acknowledging Him in all aspects of your life.

Furthermore, Isaiah 40:31 encourages us with these words: "but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." By waiting on the Lord and surrendering to His will, we find our strength and can soar to new heights, accomplishing the good works He has prepared for us.

Here are some action steps for you:

đź’šPrayer and Seeking: Dedicate time each day to pray and seek God's wisdom and guidance for your life and the specific good work He has placed in your heart.

đź’šStudy His Word: Regularly read and meditate on the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of God's character and His will for your life.

đź’šSurrender and Let Go: Identify any areas of your life that you need to surrender to God fully. Let go of your own plans and desires, trusting that His ways are higher and better.

đź’šObey His Promptings: Listen for the prompting of the Holy Spirit and follow through with obedience when He guides you to take specific actions.

đź’šStay Faithful and Patient: Sometimes God's timing may not align with ours, but stay faithful and patient, knowing that He is always at work and will bring His plans to pass.

đź’šAccountability and Community: Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and hold you accountable in your journey of following God's will.

As you walk this path of surrender and commitment to God's way, be assured that He will lead you to the fulfillment of His purpose for your life. Let His love and wisdom guide you, and be ready to witness the extraordinary fruit that the Holy Spirit will produce in and through you.
May you be blessed abundantly as you yield to His will and live a life that brings glory to His name.

Hey sis,

This week, we're diving into the profound idea of finding contentment in God's unique plan for your life. It's all too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of this world, carrying the heavy weight of pressure on our shoulders. The pressure to please others, to meet societal expectations, and to excel in every aspect of life can lead to burnout and a sense of inadequacy. But here's the truth I want you to grasp: God never intended for you to bear all that burden.

You don't need to pray harder and hustle relentlessly to win God's approval. He's not asking you to join "team no sleep" or constantly chase worldly success. Comparing your journey to others' is not His desire for you either. God's heart desires something far simpler yet profound – He wants you to seek Him in all your ways and find rest and contentment in Him.

As you walk with the Lord, you'll realize that His plan for your life is tailor-made, aligning with your unique talents and purpose. So, let go of the pressures imposed by the world and society. Instead, lean on Jesus and trust in His love and wisdom. He knows what's best for you and has an incredible plan that surpasses any human understanding.

Take solace in the words of Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God." When you surrender to God's sovereignty, you find peace, knowing that He is in control of your life's course. As Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, come to Him when you're weary, and He will give you rest. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light – this means that His plan for you is not meant to be a constant struggle but rather a path filled with grace, guidance, and contentment.

Today, I challenge you to release the pressures of this world. Let go of the need to compete and compare with others. Instead, fix your gaze on Jesus and trust Him wholeheartedly. Seek Him in prayer and meditate on His Word. Allow His peace to flow through you, knowing that He has a divine plan for your life that is far better than anything you could ever imagine.

May you find true contentment in surrendering to God's will and walking in the beautiful path He has prepared for you.

Hey girl,

Romans 5:3-5 (NIV) - "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

In this journey of life, we often find ourselves wrestling with our thoughts and emotions, especially when it comes to how we view ourselves. The world can be harsh, and at times, our own minds become battlegrounds for negative self-talk, self-doubt, and insecurities. But God's Word reminds us that even in our sufferings, there is a purpose - one that leads us to embrace His truths and replace negativity with hope.

đź’šLife's challenges may try to define us, causing us to doubt our worth and abilities. However, remember that EVERY obstacle you face is an opportunity for growth. As we persevere through difficulties, we develop resilience and strength, drawing us closer to God's purpose for our lives.

đź’šAs you cling to God's promises amidst struggles, your character is being refined. You are becoming a woman of strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. Embrace your uniqueness, for it is in your imperfections that God's grace shines most brightly.

đź’šThrough this journey of perseverance and growth, hope springs forth. Hold onto the truth that God's love is poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit. His love overflows and washes away the lies you may have believed about yourself. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, cherished by the Creator of the universe.

đź’šToday, let us challenge the negative self-talk that may have held us captive for too long. Replace every doubt with a truth from God's Word. When you hear, "I'm not good enough," remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). When you hear, "I'm a failure," embrace that in Christ, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).

Affirmations for Today:

I am deeply loved by God, and His love casts out all fear and self-doubt (1 John 4:18).
I am chosen and appointed to bear fruit that lasts (John 15:16).
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
I am clothed with strength and dignity; I can laugh at the days to come (Proverbs 31:25).

đź’šYou are not alone in this journey of overcoming negative self-talk. Hold onto the hope that God's love and truth can transform your thoughts and renew your mind. Embrace the process of perseverance, character-building, and hope as you walk hand in hand with your loving Heavenly Father. His truths are the anchors that will keep you grounded amidst life's storms.

These scriptures can serve as reminders of how God sees us, emphasizing our worth, beauty, purpose, and the depth of His love.

I encourage you to meditate in these verses, internalize the truth within them, and allow them to shape your understanding of your true identity in Jesus Christ.đź’š

Hey girl,

Have you ever taken a moment to reflect on the depth of God's love for you? It's incredible to consider that you were created with a purpose, and God has already prepared good works for you to walk in.

In our fast-paced society that glorifies self-made success, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking we need to constantly perform to please God. But the truth is, God doesn't want you to strive and struggle. He wants you to thrive. You don't have to change yourself for Him to use you. You are enough just as you are, and God's blessings are already upon you.

It's natural to be influenced by your past, societal expectations, and even family, leading to doubts about your worth. However, as long as you tie your value to external factors, you'll continue to feel inadequate.

Sis……it’s time to free yourself!

You can't truly be free while trying to be someone you're not to please others. Instead, seek to understand how God sees you. Let me share a few hints with you:

God doesn't evaluate your worth based on your performance. His love is not conditional.

God doesn't want you to be consumed by the pressure of always "making it happen." He wants you to find rest and peace in Him.

God can and will use you just as you are, right here, right now. He meets you in this very moment.

Take some time this week to meditate on these empowering scriptures:
Ephesians 2:10
Psalm 147:10-11
Proverbs 31:25

Allow these verses to sink deep into your heart and mind, reminding you of the truth about your identity and worth in God's eyes.

You are loved, cherished, and destined for greatness, girl! Embrace your true identity and let God's love guide you every step of the way.

Here are three key benefits of committing our ways to the Lord:

đź’š Divine Guidance: When we trust in the Lord and submit our plans to Him, He provides us with divine guidance. He sees the bigger picture and knows what lies ahead. By committing our ways to Him, we tap into His infinite wisdom and experience His direction in our lives.

đź’š Peace and Assurance: Committing our ways to the Lord brings peace and assurance. We no longer carry the burden of figuring everything out on our own. Instead, we have the confidence that God is with us, guiding and supporting us every step of the way. His presence brings comfort and reassurance in the midst of uncertainty.

đź’š Purposeful Journey: When we commit our ways to the Lord, our journey becomes purposeful. God has a unique plan for each of us, and as we surrender our ways to Him, we discover the fulfillment that comes from walking in His purpose. Our actions align with His desires, and we experience a sense of meaning and fulfillment that can't be found elsewhere.

So sis, let's take a moment today to commit our ways to the Lord. Let's surrender our plans, dreams, and goals to His loving care. As we seek His guidance and follow His lead, we can trust that He will establish our paths and bring about beautiful things in our lives.
