Meet Tina and Nacho!

Their journey began with a chance Tinder swipe in Miami, leading to a whirlwind romance that crossed continents and cultures, ultimately landing them in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires.

Tina, hailing from Germany, and Nacho, from Argentina, have faced their share of challenges—from navigating shared spaces in Miami to living in Tina’s childhood home in Germany, before embarking on a year-and-a-half-long European road trip in a cozy camper van. Their story is one of adaptability and resilience, as they’ve tackled everything from cultural clichés to logistical hurdles, all while merging their lives together.

Join us as we dive into the fun and the serious, starting with three fun facts: Tina’s quirky relationship with wobbly foods, Nacho’s soccer confession, and the unique habits they adopted while traveling Europe in their camper van. We also explore their decision to get married after seeing each other only four times, how their families reacted, and their differing accounts of whether Nacho actually proposed.

Meet Rahul Arjun John Yates!

The inspiring founder of HumSub GlobalTEEN (HSGT) and co-creator of the book “Mixed Desis: Stories of Multiracial South East Asians.”

Growing up in LA with an Indian Punjabi mom and a White dad, Rahul navigated the unique challenges of being the first mixed-race teen in his family. This journey led him to start HSGT, a platform supporting multiracial and multicultural youth worldwide.

In this episode, Rahul recounts his experience during his teen years when his connection to his Indian heritage was questioned, leading him to reflect on the internal conflict of physical appearance and cultural identity.

He shares how shifting his approach and working from the inside out helped him process his mixed identity and navigate the world regardless of others’ perceptions.
