Harry S. Truman, the 33rd President of the United States, served from 1945 to 1953. He ascended to the presidency after the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt during the final months of World War II. Truman is best known for making the decision to use atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which contributed to the end of the war in the Pacific. His presidency also saw the beginning of the Cold War, the implementation of the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe, and the establishment of the Truman Doctrine, which aimed to contain the spread of communism. Domestically, he faced significant challenges with post-war economic adjustments and civil rights issues, including desegregating the armed forces.

Drummer boy quarters, minted in 1976 to commemorate the U.S. Bicentennial, often attract coin collectors, particularly those with Double Die Obverse (DDO) errors. These errors occur during the minting process when the coin is struck more than once, causing a noticeable doubling of the design elements, especially in the date, lettering, or the drummer boy's details. Such DDO error coins are rare and can significantly increase the quarter's value, making them highly sought after by numismatists.

Penny errors, or error pennies, are rare coins produced by the U.S. Mint that contain mistakes, making them highly valuable to collectors. These errors can include misprints, double dies, off-center strikes, or wrong metal compositions. Notable examples include the 1943 copper penny and the 1955 doubled die penny, which can fetch thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars at auction due to their rarity and historical significance. Collectors seek these coins for their uniqueness and the intriguing stories behind their creation.

Bills with the serial number of 1, particularly in the case of U.S. currency, are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors. These bills, often referred to as "fancy serial numbers," can fetch a significant premium over their face value due to their uniqueness and desirability. Serial number 1 bills are usually reserved for dignitaries, museum displays, or special occasions, making their circulation in the general public quite uncommon. Their rarity and the historical value associated with them make these bills prized items in numismatic collections. #20

Silver Peace Dollars, minted from 1921 to 1935, are composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. Their value varies significantly based on condition, rarity, and year, with prices typically ranging from $25 to several thousand dollars for rare or high-grade specimens. Franklin Half Dollars, produced from 1948 to 1963, are also made of 90% silver and 10% copper. These coins usually sell for $10 to $50, though exceptional pieces can fetch higher prices. Both coin series are popular among collectors for their historical significance, silver content, and distinctive designs.

U.S. bills having missing ink is a rare production error that occurs when one of the essential printing stages at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is skipped or improperly executed. This results in bills that lack critical design elements, such as serial numbers, Treasury seals, or Federal Reserve indicators. These misprints, often termed "missing print errors," are highly coveted by collectors due to their rarity and uniqueness, significantly increasing their value compared to standard currency. Such errors underscore the meticulous and complex process involved in currency production.

Sending coins to be graded involves submitting them to professional grading services, where experts assess their authenticity, condition, and rarity. This process assigns each coin a grade, which significantly impacts its market value. Graded coins often command higher prices and provide buyers with confidence in their purchases.

The accented hair Kennedy half dollar is a special variant of the 1964 Kennedy half dollar, notable for its distinct hair design on President John F. Kennedy's portrait. This version, characterized by more pronounced hair strands above Kennedy's ear, was part of the initial production run but was quickly altered, making it relatively rare. The accented hair variety is particularly sought after by collectors due to its unique design and limited mintage, as well as its connection to the first year of the Kennedy half dollar series, which was created to honor the late president shortly after his assassination.

Proof coins are specially minted coins known for their exceptional quality and detailed finish. Produced using polished dies and planchets, they feature a mirror-like background and frosted designs, highlighting intricate details. Originally intended for collectors and not for general circulation, proof coins are often limited in production, adding to their appeal and value. They are typically sold in protective cases to preserve their pristine condition and are sought after by numismatists for their beauty and craftsmanship.

Miscut Bill Errors occur when the sheets of newly printed notes are cut into individual notes, but the sheet or the machine is misaligned in some way. This causes notes to not have the correct amount of space on the edges in mild cases, and in more extreme cases the bill can contain the top of one note and the bottom of another. These error notes can be worth between 20-100$ depending on severity and what note it is on.
