First time.. at Nawana Camping ground in TH

Hi there, been a while… I am sorry I was just busy with many things.
So where do we start again? Oh yeah, I said I was challenged financially, when I say I was challenged, it’s an understatement. However, since this is something I prayed of and God has approved, I may worry (which is wrong and a sin), God was still at work.

Despite, the lack of money and I am only able to fix one document to another when there is extra from my salary, I praise God that I am still able to comply.

So what documents did I have to prepare and present? Here are the lists and the process as well as its corresponding fees.

1. I need to go to my former university to request for CAV of my TOR. They requested a photocopy of my TOR and diploma. I paid Php 450.00 for it and I paid about Php 120.00 for the postal stamp. Once it is all done, they will seal that document in a white envelope and you have two options: 1. Let your university process it and wait for a long time since they would need to have other request such as yours or 2. Bring the sealed envelope to CHED (whichever branch your school say so), in my case that is CHED Quezon city. So I did the second option.
2. Went to CHED along with my cousin who drove us there and submit the sealed envelope for CAV. If you go there by yourself, make sure you bring a long brown envelope. I paid there Php 80.00 and you would need to go back after 3 business days to get your requested documents.
3. After, you have received the files, you will then go to DFA. My case, I went to DFA in Ayala Alabang. You will bring there the sealed brown envelope. (Note: you cannot by all means open that envelope). The moment you arrive in DFA you will need to fill out a form (green form in Ayala). Fall in line and submit the documents to the correct personnel. They will open it, ask you to photocopy the files then bring it back to the personnel. You will need to pay Php 200.00 per document that will be apostilled. Remember, you will not get it right away, you will have to come back to get the documents again. I think I waited 3 business days again.
4. NBI clearance is also needed which costs Php 200.00.
Those are mostly the documents.

When you have accomplished the documents, you will do medical which cost me Php 3,500. And you have to do it in POEA Clinic in Ortigas. Since I went through agency, I also paid Php 8,000 for the documentation where they will send all my papers including my passport to the country, I am going to have the NON-B visa.

If all is well, you will get your papers then you will be scheduled for seminars, get your OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) and pay 1 month worth of your salary + 12%.

Once all your papers are received, flight will be schedule and you are off to your journey.

THE CONTINUATION:

Where I left off “As a new route was opened, my profile now in Workabroad has views and there is that agency that was able to locate my profile and contacted me….”
Now that the agency located my profile, they asked if I am available for interview. I said “yes”, Afterwards, I was given a schedule for a zoom interview. So I made sure I download zoom in my laptop, my prepaid wifi has a load, headset working etc. However, when the actual time of interview happened, guesssss whatttttt?????? My audio encountered a problem. That despite the preparation and even trouble shooting it did not work.
With that, I already told myself “ Lord, it is fine. If this is not yet the time, I understand. Maybe this is not for me.” However, God is not like us. He does not easily give up nor lose faith. Infact, even when we are faithless, God remains faithful. As a result, I was given another chance. Thank you Lord!!!
Now the second chance happened. All went well. Everything is working (technically). Prais God they gave me an offer. And just like every journey, there will always be some concerns. I cannot leave my current school yet. As the school year just began and I just signed a contract. So I did tell them that I am only able to join by June 2023, because that’s when I know the S.Y. 2022-2023 will finish and I can leave without providing any hustle to my current employer.
Do you think they agreed????? Another miracle from God, they did. They will wait for me to finish and honor my contract here in the Philippines first.
Fast forward to October 2022, they are already following up on my status. I said I will still proceed because I have already signed with them. I had to be honest with them that I am challenged financially. Because there are quite a lot to submit and fees to pay…
…. to be continued….

HOW IT ALL STARTED?

I have been working for years in the Philippines and never it has crossed my mind to leave the country to work to another nation. I like to travel, for sure, but working elsewhere, far from family, that is something I never have entertained or thought of. As I love my family.

However, circumstances changed. We may plan ahead but God’s plan is greater than ours. The best for sure.

So the thought of working in a foreign country came into mind, during the elections 2022. I said to myself, if this so and so wins, I will surely leave the country. Because of that, I started creating an account again in WorkAbrooad.com.ph. Too shallow, too self-centered plan so low and behold, no profile views. None, zero, nadah…
That’s when it hit me, as a Christian, it was hit of reality and a rebuke. Ashamed of underestimating God’s ability and capability, I was reminded by the usual preaching I do hear every time I serve as an usher in Victory, Pt.r Jun would often if not always mention when applicable that “Ang Panginoon ng America, Europe etc. ay Panginoon din ng Pilipinas.” Boom! Mic drop! I was so wrong, true indeed that Wherever we maybe, if God called you there He can prosper you as he promised in Jeremiah 29:11 “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. “ God is not shorthanded for us not to be blessed by Him.
The desire to actually go abroad, has already been impressed in my heart because God also does not consider it wrong if you plan to go elsewhere to work for as long as our intentions and purpose is aligned to what God has designed. This realization, made sense. As the desire has already been ignited, God made a redirection of my reason and purpose in leaving the Philippines, He then change my initial motive to something more purposeful and significant not only to me but more for Him.
I am now leaving, not just because my candidate did not win, not just to earn and save, but to share God’s word not just by mere words but through actions. That in whatever I will do in my “soon” to be new job and new country, I will work as what Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” As for many people when you say you’re a Christian, they are not just into your words rather they observe you, do you live by the Bible verses we quote, share in social media and all. Words without actions is just mere words.
With this redirection and correction, my prayer and reason changed into, if you will Lord, you will do it. And when I go there God, you will use me, you are sending me to share your word and to be a salt and light to my “soon new work” where that workplace will be my mission field. A prayer that I have included during prayer and fasting. A prayer that even my Victory Group mate's also prayed for.
As a new route was opened, my profile now in Workabroad has views and there is that agency that was able to locate my profile and contacted me….
