There are 31,536,000 seconds in a year. Last year, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received 36,200,00 reports of online child sexual exploitation. That's nearly one report every second, with 99% of these cases involving child sexual abuse material found online.
From 2021 to 2023, we've seen a staggering 300% increase in reports of online enticement. And here's the reality check: it's estimated that only 10-20% of incidents of online child exploitation ever get reported.
These numbers are alarmingâthey represent about 10% of the total U.S. population, or the entire population of Canada. This means there's a very real chance this is happening to someone you know or within your organization.
