or the oasis
or the tent
of my nubian's black eyes
I only have the dates
and 100 years of waiting
for them to grow
the ship that brought me
shipwrecked on the shore
and now only the thoughts
travel back

Da minha janela
Eu vejo a palmeira
mas não é aquela
do meu sonho
porque...
Eu não vejo as dunas do deserto
ou o oásis
ou a tenda
dos negros olhos do meu núbio
só tenho as tamaras
e 100 anos de espera
para elas crescerem
o navio que me trouxe
naufragou na costa
e agora apenas o pensamento
viaja de volta
