Great success is the result of micro-activities often unseen and done when no one is watching.
When you take that cold morning shower to arrive early at work, the everyday commute, the revisions you make on that manuscript you've been wanting to finish, the night reviews you make in preparation for an upcoming exam, and training every single day to master a craft, these are often unheard and uncelebrated, but these are the reasons why success happens to individuals: doing the work needed to be done even when no one is watching, being unshaken, and being laser focused.
Success is never the result, but the process. This contradicts what we always see in the highlight reels posted on social media, where we only see and celebrate the fruits of the tree and not the roots buried deep. Social media only allows us to see the results and, often times, never the grueling process.
So never feel unproductive and left behind just because you are struggling now and no one knows. You don't need to prove to someone that you are doing your best. The fact that it's getting harder may just mean you are getting closer to what you want to become. So be comfortable working in stealth, and be courageous enough to disappear and reappear as needed. Working in silence and not showing any results does not mean you are not progressing.
Those who do it when no one is watching are those who are prepared to do it when everyone is.
