81-year-old David Lidstone has lived in a small cabin along the Merrimack River in the New Hampshire woods for nearly 3 decades. Despite minding his own business and not causing harm to anyone, he was arrested and jailed since mid July on charges of contempt for not obeying a court order to leave the cabin. The landowner wants him gone, and the judge, though somewhat sympathetic to Lidstone, holds that the man must follow the law regardless.
