There will NOT be a Best of the Burbs ceremony this year. After the passing of Jack Schultz, co-owner of GPS Entertainment, Inc, last September it was decided to cease publication after the 2012 October issue.

Dearest Friends and Family,

It’s with very heavy hearts that we must share our sad news with you all. This past Saturday, Jack suffered a heart attack and, despite great efforts, passed away later that night. He will be sorely missed.

Please join us this week as we remember this remarkable man:

Visitation – Wednesday, September 19th
2:00 – 8:00 PM
Healy Chapel – 370 Division Drive, SUGAR GROVE

Celebration of Life Memorial – Saturday, September 22nd
10:00 AM
Healy Chapel – 332 West Downer Place, AURORA

Please bring your favorite Jack Schultz memory or story to share with us during the service. Afterwards, per Jack’s request, we will then proceed with a traditional jazz funeral (please wear comfortable shoes).

Hey y'all! Here's the deal! There's another SuburbaNites page out there that was set up by our old pal David Goffron before he left. We were maintaining that site it along side this one, but this month Facebook decided that we had too many websites by one, and locked me out of the other website. There are a ton of people on that other page, and I can't get in to tell them that this page has replaced that page. Could you help me spread the word? PLEASE????

NEWS UPDATE!!! In keeping with the spirit of determining the best of everything in the Chicagoland Suburbs, we had hoped that everyone would cast their single vote in each category and make it count. However, we are aware that many have figured out the work-around for this limitation, and are now voting, in some categories, hundreds of times over. In order to do this, you have to have your browser set to accept no cookies from Survey Monkey, or you have to manually delete your cookies to enable voting again and again. We realize it's not the best method, but it's the only method we have. All we ask is that you play nice!
