Santa travels to over 150 million homes on Christmas Eve with the help of Christmas Magic, but Christmas Magic only works when everyone is asleep.

On this Christmas Eve, Santa arrives at a home and discovers two cats on the prowl. Not one to risk a child's broken heart because their beloved pet escaped and fell victim to the cats, he takes time out of his deliveries to attempt to rescue the cats' quarry.

Unfortunately, his kindness causes his night to take an unexpected turn, putting him behind schedule and sending him traveling with a stowaway.

When he makes his most important delivery of the night, a mishap teaches him that every creature, big or small, plays a vital role in the magic of Christmas.

Merry Author's Day!

Have you ever dreamed of writing a book?

Today is the start of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). People all over the world are challenging themselves to write a 50K word novel this month.

The goal is to encourage anyone who wants to become a writer to take the first step - creating a daily writing habit.

Here at the North Pole, Mrs. C is encouraging all the elves to write daily. Some like using the computer, others their phones, and a few who prefer pencil and paper.

Mrs. C is challenging herself to get the story of Montgomery Mouse published this month.

And she needs your help!

The book is to the point where we need feedback from our followers.

You don't need to be a grammar expert or any kind of special skill.

All you need is a love for a good story.

Have you ever dreamed of writing a book?

I saw in my history that two years ago it was the first of - the month the we start gearing up for NaNoWriMo.

I saw it last year but knew with all that was going on in my life -- all good btw-- there was no hope of doing NaNoWriMo.

And I'm kinda in the same boat this year.

But my heart wants to write.

So I'm going to put my efforts this month into all three of the books I have in the works.

Yes, my novel sings out to me regularly.

And I will finish it.

But at the moment I have three books that need -- want -- to see the light of day.

I know in some ways they will change the world when they do.

So during Preptober and NaNoWriMo I'll be working on three books from the True Stories from the North Pole.

Won't you join me?

Part 33

The elves built Montgomery a house and placed it in the tree. They filled the floor of the house with strands of Santa’s beard for Montgomery to burrow in.

Montgomery is a big help at the workshop. He can get into small places and retrieve small pieces and parts that get stuck.

When Santa visits the workshop he brings a treat for Montgomery and lets him play in his beard. Montgomery looks forward to Santa’s visits.

Part 32

“Montgomery Mouse is a hero!” Exclaimed the elves when Santa had finished his story.

One of the elves tugged at Santa’s pant leg. “What are we going to do with the mouse?” she asked sweetly. “Can he live in our tree? I will take care of him.”

Santa patted Elf Avalou’s head, “Yes, I think after all he’s done he deserves a good home.Let’s let him live in the tree in the workshop.”

Part 31

When Santa returned to the North Pole, Mrs. C, and the elves greeted him. He told them about the night.

In the middle of the story about finding the mouse, Montgomery stuck his head out of Santa’s beard and all the elves gasped in surprise.

Mrs. C reached out and coaxed the small creature out of Santa’s beard. While Santa told the rest of the story, she held him carefully and fed him crumbs from the reindeer treats she kept in the pocket of her apron.

Part 30

Just then he heard voices outside the front door. Santa tried to figure out how he could get the key but he could not find anything close by that would work.

Just then Santa felt the mouse crawling down his arm. Montgomery leapt into the tree and disappeared.

Santa was distraught. Not only was the key lost, but there was now also a mouse loose in their tree.

As Santa stood there trying desperately to figure out what to do, he spotted Montgomery sitting on a branch on the tree with the keys grasped in his mouth.

Santa reached out his hand to Montgomery. Montgomery dropped the keys in Santa’s hand and then leapt onto his sleeve and scurried back to Santa’s beard.

Santa put the key in the truck’s ignition and hurried back to his sleigh. He gave his team a whistle and quietly took off for the trip back to the North Pole.
