Meet the creative minds behind the @ecco x @ral7000studio collaboration, the Milan-based collective Ral7000 Studio that’s all about pushing the limits. From their consultancy expertise to their creative drive, the team’s mission remains crystal clear: to transcend the boundaries of design as a whole. Fresh from their latest collaboration with ECCO, it is evident their dedication to innovation is woven into their identity, resulting in a product that perfectly captures ECCO’s Danish heritage while including their own Milanese flair. We caught up with co-founders @michael_cutini and @marcosimonetti____ to discuss the origins of this partnership and the challenges of pushing the envelope. From the technicality of shoe design to the story behind the studio’s name, this conversation offers an insightful glimpse of what it takes to merge tradition with innovation in today’s creative industry.
Looking now at how you worked together. What do you feel is the most valuable thing about this collaboration?
Marco: For me, it’s all about pushing boundaries on both sides.
Michael: I guess for me personally the most important part has always been the beginning of the collaboration—we were given such a big opportunity and they believed in us, and still believe in our vision. As a design studio, we’ve done consultancy work for big brands around the world, but we were usually ghost designers you know. With this project, we get to put our logo on it, and it’s not just B2B. And that’s a big deal for a young studio like ours, especially since RAL is only four years old.

Introducing: “LOVE DAMES” by Amsterdam rockstars Bruin Jackson and Abel van Gijlswijk!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Bruin Jackson’s video clip for the song “Love Dames,” a track from his highly anticipated debut album Cowboy van de Jordaan. Bruin Jackson is the alter ego of multidisciplinary artist @bruinparryofficial, who rocks an extra chromosome and is determined to take over the world with his unique tunes, dazzling moves, and immense superstar attitude. For this piece, Jackson teamed up with singer, songwriter, and producer @abelmanbroer (yes, the front man of Hang Youth). Together, they created a feel-good hip-hop track celebrating their mutual love for sexy ladies. And name a better sexy lady to feature in the videoclip than Katja Schuurman?!

Meet Tim Lensvelt, the enigmatic DJ and experimental radiomaker (@echoboxradio, @radio.temponaopara), who will be opening our highly anticipated Glamcult Selects event this week! Balancing his day job as a civics teacher with his nocturnal sonic explorations, he artfully harmonizes the structured with the creative, much like he uses his three decks to combine the weird, dissonant, and obscure into a danceable mix-match of fun. TEMBER’s raw and honest social media presence has resonated with many, offering candid reflections on the challenges of modern DJ life—a refreshing contrast to the often over-glamorized music industry and instagram content we tend to see. As we dive into our conversation with TEMBER, get ready to uncover his thoughts on music that defies categorization and his love for the rabbit hole of sonic discovery. Yeah. I feel like that’s at least a good start if it’s not the end point. What’s your biggest accomplishment thus far?
My biggest accomplishment… tough question. I’m trying not to look at these things as accomplishments anymore. That’s kind of the purpose of my break as well. But I’ve been extremely thankful for every gig I’ve had the opportunity to play. I’m very happy that I got to play for local collectives that I’ve really enjoyed going to for years. I’m very happy to have played at the clubs I’ve adored and that I’ve always had a good time in. I’m happy to have played with amazing artists. So they’re all good accomplishments. Not one is better than the other.
