I’ll be spending some two weeks with the VW Tiguan in a ‘long-term test’!

Yeah, two weeks isn’t all that long compared to overseas publications that keep a car for months on end, but hopefully it gives a different perspective nonetheless.

As our ‘Best Features’ winner for OneShift Car of the Year 2024, I’m keen to see just how useful the toys are when the car is driven all day, every day.

The other pertinent question I hope to answer as well - is the Tiguan the mid-sized ICE SUV of choice under $200k?

This little squab that extends from the passenger seat of the Kia EV5 makes the front row almost like a bench seat. Alas, it’s not for a third passenger, but it could certainly be conducive for improving relations between the front two occupants 😆

A cool moment four years ago with my mama in the Lexus LC500 Convertible. Then, she was already past 100 years old. Four years later, she’s still going strong playing a game of mahjong. A true fighter, this lady 💪

The Emira is probably the most Lotus you can buy from Lotus now. It’s still an absolute thrill, but two things I’d add: a more forgiving Tour suspension setting and faster downshifts. That’s assuming you can get by the price tag (hey, no judgement).

Circa 2016. Amazing that I could just rock up to Toyota Mega Web to have a test drive of this V12 flagship. I’m glad that I did as this engine has since been retired. Also, it was quite apt at that time as I was working for Rolls-Royce and was surrounded by its V12s in parallel.

My submission for Audi’s A5 Sedan photography challenge with a “Jekyll & Hyde” theme:

“The open road up to the hills of Ipoh. A playground for the Audi A5 Sedan. It awaits in anticipation as it primes itself for the serpentine turns ahead. But the A5 Sedan is not only athletic, it’s beautiful. Gazing at the iconic Kuala Lumpur skyline through the unmistakable coupé-like greenhouse, one gains an appreciation of the car’s ability to conquer both country and city in one fell swoop.”

No win this time, but it was fun getting the creative brain to work hard 🧠
