Pretty sure someone must’ve said and notice this before. The Temple of the Ancients’ presentation in was so well done. Among the things noticed, Aerith is split to go at the higher levels while Cloud’s party descends deeper. Aerith’s part is restoring and reconstructing from chaos while Cloud’s party is destroying and bringing more chaos. The background music for Aerith’s part is an epic uplifting theme while Cloud’s theme is the eerie screams of the planet, reflecting his descent towards madness. Simply marvelous.
