Today they discharge me. Thank goodness to the doctors, nurses, therapists, and everyone who works at the Southeast Rehabilitation Center at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Thanks to my family, friends, and strangers, who had my daughter, my family, and me in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for your messages, calls, video calls, cards, gifts, and endless words of support during these 3 weeks and during the months that we were sick with COVID-19.
I'm putting my best foot forward (pun not intended) and continue with the recovery.

Hoy me dan de alta. Gracias a Dios, a los médicos, enfermeras, terapistas y todos los que trabajan en Southeast Rehabilitation Center del Charlton Memorial Hospital. Gracias a mi familia, amistades, y extraños, que nos tuvieron en sus pensamientos y oraciones a mi hija, mi familia y a mí. Gracias a todos por sus mensajes, llamadas, video llamadas, tarjetas, regalos, e infinitas palabras de apoyo durante estas 3 semanas y durante los meses que estuvimos enfermas con el COVID-19.
A poner de parte y a seguir con la recuperación.

NB, habla sobre el caso de Malcolm Gracia, un joven Cabo Verdeano de 15-años de la ciudad de New Bedford que murió a manos de la policía en el 2012, los recientes eventos via Zoom en los cuales compartieron la verdad de este caso por medio de evidencia, y formas en que la comunidad puede envolverse para apoyar a las familias que han sido victimas de brutalidad policial y hacer justicia.
