Feliz #PrideMonth 🌈 To celebrate, throughout the month, we’ll be sharing LGBTQIA+ Latinx activists who paved the way for the community 🏳️🌈
✨Share with us in the comments who we should feature next!
This week many of the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting are being laid to rest. Mariachis arrived at the school memorial site in Uvalde, Texas to honor and remember the lives lost. In this clip, they're playing "Un día a la vez." As we continue to mourn, it is beautiful to see how many from the community, organizations, and volunteers are showing up to support the people of Uvalde.

Hello community ❤️ This is Marivette again, the Founder of The Mujerista. My family and I are overwhelmed with emotions regarding all of the comments and support we have been receiving in regards to our situation with @Chase Bank.
My mother has been especially moved and wanted to send you all a message of thanks and appreciation for how you are rallying with us to ask @Chase Bank to do what is right (please see previous posts for full details).
I tried to translate and subtitle the video as quickly as possible.
Anyway, please continue sharing our story and tagging media, journalists, activists, or celebrities that can bring awareness to this situation. The response we continue to get from their social team is that someone will reach out or be assigned to the case. The case is already assigned and we would like for someone to reach out ASAP.
Also, my father did inform me that our point of contact at #ChaseBank called him on Friday asking about the negative comments on social media —I’m glad they found the time for that but not to explain or help us with our situation.
Thank you again from the bottom of our corazoncitos ❤️ We hope we can get this resolved soon 🙏
🗣"...because I do not speak Spanish. I'm not fluent, and I thought for the longest time that made me less of what I was and maybe I shouldn't talk about my background because perhaps I didn't represent the community well enough."
✨Oscar nominee Ariana DeBose (@arianadebose) opened up to Lin-Manuel Miranda about feeling not Latinx enough because she doesn't speak Spanish – a feeling many of us have felt. Specifically, how these feelings affected her during the audition process of the role of "Anita" for Spielberg's adaptation of "West Side Story."
❤️Let's remember, we are not defined by the language we speak. Ariana, you are more than enough.
