Pastor Troy let down an entire community when he ghosted Alabama State University on Thanksgiving during the Turkey Day Classic halftime show. Practicing with the band, hyping up fans, and then leaving without performing is the ultimate show of disrespect. HBCUs deserve better than this. Let his actions at ASU be a warning to every school: don’t book artists who don’t respect the culture

100th anniversary Turkey Day Classic ruined by Pastor Troy’s no-show. Never again.‼️🚨

Pastor Troy proved he can’t be trusted when he abandoned the Alabama State University marching band at the Turkey Day Classic halftime show. After rehearsing, he vanished without a word, leaving the band scrambling on a milestone anniversary. HBCUs should demand respect from the artists they book. Let’s make it clear: if you can’t honor your commitments, you’re not welcome on our campuses. Troy is a prime example of what NOT to book for your next event.

Thanksgiving 2024 will be remembered for a huge letdown. Pastor Troy practiced with the Alabama State University marching band for the 100th Turkey Day Classic halftime show, only to disappear before the performance. This was supposed to be a monumental moment in HBCU history, but he left the band and thousands of fans hanging. If you’re looking for an artist to represent your school, let this serve as a warning—don’t book Pastor Troy. Actions speak louder than words, and his actions were pure disrespect to ASU and HBCU culture.
