Today, God needs many believers like the biblical prophet Daniel who will pursue Him with others, reject the fallen age of this world, and build up the church as God’s house to pave the way for Christ’s return. Such people are precious to God. Lord, make us like Daniel!

This song was written for a young people’s retreat on the book of Daniel in October 2023. It’s part of our new album, “I’m Your Vessel.”

Daniel and his companions cared for God’s interest more than their own lives. They rejected the temptation of idols, joined themselves to God’s word, and pra...

Exodus 33:11 says, “Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.” The Lord is longing to speak to us—we just need to allow Him to draw us to Himself, morning by morning.

We wrote this song a long time ago, and we’re happy to finally release a recording of it as part of our new album, “I’m Your Vessel.”

Philippians 2:10-11 says that “in the name of Jesus every knee should bow . . . and every tongue should openly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

One day, all knees will bow. But we can confess Him as Lord today. Even now, we can proclaim Him King of Kings. We can allow Him to rule in us, day by day, as we watch for His return.

This song is part of our new album, “I’m Your Vessel.”

According to 2 Peter 3:12, the kind of person we are can hasten the Lord’s return. The earth and those who live in it are the Lord’s (Psalm 24:1). The Lord Je...

The Bible reveals that God is a sovereign Potter who created human beings as vessels to be filled with Him. Isaiah 64:8 says, “But now, Jehovah, You are our Father; we are the clay; and You, our Potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand.”

This song is full of prayers to be filled with Jesus Christ—He is within us as the "treasure in earthen vessels" (2 Corinthians 4:7).

It’s impossible to pass through human life without being hurt or offended. Such offenses may leave us wounded—bitter, angry, full of hate.

When we are wounded, we may end up in spiritual death and darkness because we’re hating a brother (1 John 3:14; 2:11). But if we allow the Lord within us—the One who loved us and gave His life for us even when we were His enemies (Gal. 2:20; Rom. 5:10)—to infuse us with Himself as love to forgive others, we can pass once more out of death into life.

Please note—to forgive does not mean to condone abuse or return to an abusive situation. We can let go of an offense and no longer have any significant relationship with the offender. If you are experiencing or have experienced physical or emotional abuse, we encourage you to seek professional help from a trained Christian counselor in addition to opening to the Lord.

To learn more about 1 John 3:14, we recommend reading the footnotes on this verse in the Recovery Version of the Bible, published by Living Stream Ministry.

At the beginning of the Bible, among all the trees in the garden of Eden, only two are mentioned by name: (1) the tree of life and (2) the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. At the end of the Bible, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is gone, but the tree of life is an eternal enjoyment to the believers in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 22:14). Contacting Christ as life in our human spirit is the way to eat Him as the tree of life (John 6:57; Revelation 2:7).

This song was written for a young people's conference in April 2023. Thanks to the “little lilies” in our local youth group for recording with us!

In John 7, the Lord Jesus went to Jerusalem at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles, a seven-day feast that took place immediately after the harvest.

John 7:37 tells us that on the last day of the feast, Jesus made an announcement—He “cried out.” The Greek word translated “cried out” means to shout loudly or scream.

What did Jesus have to say that was so urgent?

He said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes into Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water” (vv. 37-38).

This announcement was mysterious to those who heard it. What did He mean when He said, “Come to Me and drink”? How can rivers of living water flow out of our innermost being?

Thankfully, John 7:39 gives us a word of explanation: “But this He said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed into Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.”

Jesus was glorified through His death and resurrection (see Luke 24:26). Before His death and resurrection, He was with the disciples bodily, as a man. In John 14:16-17, He promised that after He left in death, He would return in resurrection as “another Comforter ... even the Spirit of reality.”

So, the drinking spoken of in John 7 is our drinking of the Lord Himself as the Spirit after His death and resurrection. When we believe in Him, He comes into our human spirit as rivers of living water to continually quench our thirst. When we use our human spirit to pray, sing, or call “O Lord Jesus,” we drink of Him as the Spirit!

Many believers aspire to cooperate with the Lord to be such overcomers. At the same time, we’re acutely aware of our fallen, sinful nature, our failures, and our inability to follow the Lord absolutely.

How can we ever overcome?

The lyrics of this song emphasize one simple point—Christ is the unique Overcomer. He is in us, and when we contact Him in our spirit, we are overcoming. When we look at overcoming as a lifelong venture, we wonder if we can make it. But each one of us can turn to the Lord right now, contact Him as the Overcomer right now, and be overcoming—right now!

Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul-life even unto death.” Here, the overcomers triumph over the devil because they stand not on their own merit but on the Lord’s blood that cleanses them from every sin, and because they testify of the Lord’s victory over the devil.

First John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children; and you have overcome them because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” We have been born of God to be His children; Christ as the overcoming One is in us, and He is greater than the evil one and all who stand with him.

Romans 8:37 says, “But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.” The Lord has done everything for us. We can overcome in every situation not because of who we are, but because we are in Him and He is in us!

When we contact Christ as the unique Overcomer, we are overcoming RIGHT NOW!

Although God’s heart toward us is unchanging (James 1:17), our hearts often change.

Is your heart soft toward the Lord?

One day, we listen when the Lord prompts us to do (or stop doing) something; another day, we insist on making our own choice.

Is your heart pure toward the Lord?

When we’re inspired, we run after the Lord with all our heart; when inspiration fades, pursuing the Lord takes second place to our other goals.

Is your love for the Lord burning?

Sometimes we’re full of love for Him; at other times, our hearts are cold, uninterested in the things of God. At still other times, we may be lukewarm, indifferent toward God.

Is your heart at peace before God?

Although the Lord lives in our spirit, our sins and failures grieve Him and interrupt our fellowship with Him. We must confess our sin to the Lord and be cleansed by His blood in order to maintain our fellowship with Him.

Ultimately, the Lord wants to build up our hearts into a condition in which we’re steadfast before Him, occupied with Him, saturated with Him, and looking forward to His return. First Thessalonians 3:13 says, “So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.”

This song is a prayer seeking the Lord for the condition of our heart—to have a heart soft, pure, loving, at peace, and eventually established blameless in holiness. May the Lord grant us all such a heart!

This song will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital platforms on February 7, 2022.

20/01/2022

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

In reading this wonderful verse, it’s important to keep in mind—according to the context of the verse—what “good” refers to. It’s not the good of material or soulish blessings that we may want the Lord to give us; it’s the good of becoming full-grown sons of God.

It’s that we would be “conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers” (v. 29). God faithfully works all things, arranging our circumstances and environments, so that we would grow as believers unto full maturity, together expressing Christ on the earth as His Body.

This process isn’t always comfortable. But if our vision is clear, we can bridge the disconnect between what we naturally think of as “good” and the good of the fulfillment of God’s purpose.

Then, we can speak to the Lord in the words of this song our resolution: “I choose to remain under Your dispensing.”

We choose to remain, to abide, in the Lord and in His love (John 15:4-5, 9). We choose to contact God in His Word, day by day. We choose to open to the Lord’s supply of Himself as grace and to live in His presence.

If we open to Him, trusting in His loving heart toward us, He will grow in us gradually, little by little, bringing us on to maturity as full-grown sons of God.

14/01/2022

When we were unbelievers, we lived in sins and “according to the age of this world” (Ephesians 2:1-2). At first glance, it may not seem like a bad thing to live according to the present age. After all, isn’t it normal to live as everyone else lives and do what everyone else does?

However, God has called His believers to bear the image not of the present age but of His Son: “Those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers” (Romans 8:29). As children of God, we should have the same expression as our older brother, the Lord Jesus!

Concerning the age we live in, 1 John 5:19 says, “The whole world lies in the evil one.” If we as believers walk according to this age, we will be indistinguishable from the unbelievers. Rather than bearing a testimony of light, we will simply be one more factor of darkness.

The words of this song are from Romans 12:2, where the apostle Paul appeals to us to stand apart from this age: “And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect.”

Rather than being fashioned, conformed, to this age, we should be transformed by the renewing of the mind. We are old, of the old creation; Christ is new, the factor that makes us a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

By contacting Christ as the life-giving Spirit, our mind is renewed from the old thoughts that inundate us day by day. This produces a gradual change, or transformation, within us as our old element is carried away and the new element of God is added to our being.

Ultimately, this process of transformation will lead to there being many sons of God conformed to the image of the Firstborn Son of God, living together in the Body of Christ to express Him. This is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of God!

This song is available on our YouTube channel and will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital platforms on 1/24/2022. Sheet music (lyrics and guitar chords) is available on our website.
