Purebred American Mongrel Music This site dedicated to the memory and music of Page Wilson who surrendered his life to music with the sole intent of giving musicians a chance to be heard.

There seems to be a missing place on the FM radio dial for music which doesn't solidly fit into any conventional genre. We here have no label for it and don't know where to direct the listener for it. It can be plucked here and there on Pandora, local AM stations, Austin City Limits, and smoke-filled bars. There is a wealth of it out there, some familiar, some barely known. This music pings on the

margins of Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Delta Blues, and Cajun. It defies real definition but was best labeled "Purebred American Mongrel Music" by Richmond, Virginia USA musician and radio host, Page Wilson. Wilson was a working musician who understood the difficulty of talented musicians having their music heard and he devoted a great deal of his life's efforts to giving them space and air time on his PBS show: "Out of the Blue Radio R***e". This station will endeavor to keep his efforts alive and well while entertaining in the most humble of ways. We hope to provide a rich listening experience while giving all musicians a chance to be heard here.
