My first ever published blog got 15k views in less than 24 hours!

Back story:

It was my first client as a freelancer (I was a teacher before that🙊).
He had only 1k visitors a month on his website.
He got 15k new visitors on his website in less than 24 hours. Whatever he paid me was totally worth it, wasn’t it? 😉😄

Now, how the heck did it happen? 😲

Let me break it down for you:😉

The blog content was :

Succinct: The content I wrote was fluff-free. Nothing irrelevant or unnecessary. Each sentence held its own value and was as concise as possible.

Novel: I shared thoughts that readers couldn't come up with by themselves. It triggers dopamine. When readers resonate emotionally or intellectually, they share your content.

Actionable: I wanted readers to start taking steps immediately after reading my blog. I wanted my blog to be the last piece they ever referred to before their desired “transition”.

Engaging: I wanted to grab readers' attention with the first 10 seconds and apparently I did that. Hooked them right away!

Clients don't pay you $$$ just to "Fill" their websites with content. The content you deliver must propel something in their business.
- build authority 💪
- engage audience 💭 💬
- bring traffic 👣
- attract new leads 🧲
- convert clients 🤝

Comment “YES”, if you agree 😄

You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours ; )

“Hey, you look so pretty today!”
“Thank you, so do you! ”

Isn’t this a tendency of us to give back what we receive? We can use this tendency in marketing as well.

You can use reciprocity by giving so much value to your prospects that they end up doing what you want them to.

Lead Magnets are the best way to provide your prospects with tons of free value. All they need to give you is their email Id. Then you can nurture these leads by sending daily or weekly emails.

Consistent Emails:
1 . Helps prospects feel connected to you.
2. Encourages prospects to look up to you for help.
3 . Increases the likelihood that they will buy your product/ service.

So, what do you think about this? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Pro copywriters don’t use guesswork to write.

They use proven copywriting formulas, like PAS. (yeah there are other formulas as well but this one’s my favorite. P.S I an not a pro! 😅)

PAS stands for :

Problem: Present the reader’s specific problem

Agitate: Agitate or exaggerate it. Tell them how they will be affected if they don’t solve it .

Solution: Present tour product/ service as the solution to that problem.

Let’s take an example of a Hair Spray’s ad copy.

Problem: Tired of flyaways ruining your hairstyle?

Agitate: It gets worse on cold winter days , doesn’t it?

Solution: Our “XYZ” hairspray designed to combat flyaways is best for fine to medium hair. A quick spritz should get the job done without sacrificing any naturalness your hair usually has.

This formula is all about choosing a problem prospects face, mentioning it, agitating their curiosity, and finally providing a solution.

When used correctly, it results in full reader attention as they will be eager to learn how your product /service can help them .

😣A headache can be treated naturally,
but it takes time. Hence, we choose painkillers, which have a faster effect.💊

😌Humans have a strong need to avoid pain. Physical pain, emotional pain, financial pain... we want it gone. ASAP! 🛀

This is why PAS gives desired results be it a landing page, a flyer, or a sales letter. ALWAYS.📈

Your homepage content should be compelling. In fact, you should be able to persuade a visitor to read your whole page just by the way you set it up.🤠

So what makes your homepage content compelling? 🤔

The answer to that question is very simple. It all boils down to your copy.📄

Save this checklist for later !😄

🤔How am I supposed to know what to do
.. if you don’t use an irresistible , powerful and obvious
CTA? 🙄

The ENTIRE point of writing something for your
business is to get the person to take an ACTION.🏃🏻

It can be to:
⚓Make them feel a certain way
⚓Teach them something new
⚓Make them click a button
⚓Leave a blog comment
⚓Inform them of something they need to know
⚓Get them to call
⚓Get them to buy something

You close the sale by telling them:
✅Get them to take action.
✅Telling them what will happen once they place an
order.
✅Tell them to do it now.

According to the 4Cs formula, persuasive copy is :

🎯Clear: No. It does not ONLY mean using small words, short sentences, headers, and bullet points. Your copy must be understood by everyone (even an 8 yr old if that is your target audience). True clarity starts with understanding your audience and your goals.

🎯Concise: Convey your message in fewest possible words. (yay I did it too, phew )

🎯Compelling: Your copy must also be interesting enough for your audience to actually read. Keep the reader in mind and focus on their needs, problems, and desires.

🎯Credible: Last but not least, your copy should be credible. A whitepaper, thought leadership article, or customer testimonial can allow a brand to communicate key messages while also overcoming skepticism among readers.

Every one loves...

📚STORIES ! (my 70 days old nephew loves to listen stories from his 70 year old grandma 😜)

📻In short the amount of people listening to stories is Huge. I mean almost everyone ?

🌱We’ve been telling each other stories throughout the entire evolution . And that’s why storytelling is so effective as a copywriting technique.

⚓Storytelling works best when it comes to Emails and Landing Pages .

🧚‍♂️Ever heard of Jesus? (of course,
Radhika. Such a silly question!)

🔊He told stories (parables, they used to call them).

🌿 So did Buddha.

🕊️ Ditto for every great religious teacher.

📃 Unsurprisingly, this is also why the best speakers
tell stories while average speakers tell facts.

🗣️Go watch a TED talk .

📚The most compelling speakers are usually the
speakers who tell the best stories.

The basic format is:
✅Tell a story
✅Make a point
✅Rinse and repeat for duration of talk

If stories work so well , why not use it more ?

𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐞𝐞𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭

I am just gonna say it , whether you like it or not.

” I strategically leverage my services that in turn increases engagement , awareness, positive sentiment , relationships and loyalty using the power of interactive multimedia platforms that posses a huge audience . “

I just fainted reading that! 😵‍💫

Please tell me that you are a social media branding strategist /expert . 😟

If you are someone using jargons :

STOP . IT. RIGHT . NOW .

Your readers will either:

A) Misunderstand you, and therefore move on to your competitor

Or…

B) Get mind-numbingly bored, and therefore move on to your competitor

Either way…

YOU LOSE THE SALE.

Instead of using boring jargon, write how you talk.

(This applies to tech-y companies as well . Your readers are humans are well, so don’t treat them like robots. Duh)

“Don’t sell the mattress. Sell the good night’s sleep.” 💤

But…

You need to take that one step further, and talk about why the customer wants a good night’s sleep!🛌🏻

In other words, yes, talk about features and benefits. Then , talk about why the benefits matter so much, and dig into the specific pain points.😢

Maybe they want the “good night’s sleep” so:
They don’t have to rely on coffee as much ☕️
They can be less grumpy and therefore have better relationships 😤
They feel healthier and more productive in general 💪
See how it works?

😏Don’t just stop at the surface-level problem the product solves.

Dig deeper, and really think about how your audience is affected in their day-to-day life when they finally solve the problem. 🧐

Using pain points in your copywriting means speaking directly to the problems your prospects face. Specifically, how your product/ service can solve the problems. 🤕
When you speak directly to the pain points of your target customer, you grab their attention and increase the likelihood of a purchase.🛒
