No. I am NOT talking about spanish or french. Though, kudos to you if you’re bilingual. What I mean is talk to them in a way that is going to create a connection. Talk like they talk. If your target audience is spunky mompreneurs who are juggling home life and a business with a little humor, using curse words would not be out of the question. If your target audience is a person who is very connected to spirituality, talking about feelings and connections could be helpful. ⁣

But be natural. Don’t sound like you’re trying too hard. ⁣

I would scroll through my feed seeing people with thousands of followers and would worry that I would never have a successful business, that my pictures weren’t good enough, or that what I had to say just wasn’t interesting.⁣

I started my biz without a biz IG or a huge FB following. I just started doing what I knew how to do best: ⁣

find my ideal clients⁣
relate to them and show them that their problems are figureoutable ⁣
help them see that there is power in great branding, consistent communication, and putting yourself out there⁣

I mean you never know some of those large accounts that you are wishing that you were like have less than a 1% engagement rate and are sitting there envying someone else as well. ⁣

If you truly understand how your ideal client thinks then using this 3 step method on 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐆.⁣⁣

#2- Locate hot spots. Your ideal clients just don’t do business at places that are similar to yours! They visit places that are complementary or even places that are in a different niche completely. Write down 5-7 of these places and check them out on IG.⁣⁣

#3- Dig Deep & Find your people. Your ideal clients will likely be following these businesses that you found. Search for people who leave genuine comments and like multiple posts and start engaging with them. Create a new relationship.⁣⁣

Hashtags can be a serious hit or miss for some people. Some people get little to no love from them, but others who have a dedicated strategy are seeing some awesome results.⁣⁣

So, you have a small following---no biggie, I was able to use hashtags for my engagement strategy before I even had a biz account! 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲!⁣⁣

So, yes you can create a strategy manually by doing research and keeping track of hashtags in a Google Sheet, but sometimes shortcuts are like the cherry on top!⁣⁣

I use an app called . ⁣⁣

I pay a little bit for it, but it helps SO much. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I type in a keyword and it provides me with 30 . Now, I don’t just copy and paste and use them. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We’re using a strategy remember… I pick and choose a mixture of hashtags based upon how many people are following--so a mixture of small, medium, and large hashtags. I also, choose hashtags to use that my ideal clients might actually type into the search bar (not other SM marketers)---so, might not be what your ideal clients are typing to find what they need. ⁣⁣

Well here’s a quick exercise that you can do in 10 minutes that will help you get super clear about what makes your dream clients pause and love what you have to offer---𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀-𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐬 (just made that up).⁣

1- Choose a hashtag where your ideal client likes to hangout or hashtags for your own niche---need some help with these, click the link in our bio to find a list for 50 on our Juicy Freebies page.⁣

2- Once you look up the hashtag, start scrolling and click on the first pic that grabs your attention--click on that photo and start using the SCROLL STOPPING tips that we shared with you this week---is the bio built to sell and serve, did they use a filter that you liked, is the content interesting, spaced well, and easy to read, are they consistent?⁣

3- Write down what you learned about this account, and then REPEAT this 4-5 times. Look for similarities and differences, then start creating your own SCROLL STOPPING plan for your feed!⁣

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐎𝗪𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝟑 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝.⁣

Your feed is probably missing these 3 things:⁣

1- A clear branding message (not just pretty colors), but WHO do you serve and what can you do for your ideal client. If a person can’t tell in 5 seconds….then ✌🏿 out.⁣

2- Consistency- if your last post was 3 weeks ago, and you haven’t been posting stories to supplement….then people may not be inclined to follow someone who doesn’t have follow through. You don't need to post everyday, but find a schedule what works for your life and stick to it.⁣

3- YOU- your feed is missing pics of you. People love pics of sunsets and quotes, but they LOVE you more. Dust off some of the old pics, throw a cute preset filter on it, and show people who YOU are. People buy from people at the end of the day---not a quote.⁣

My first job out of college was renting cars and selling insurance.

Besides learning how to wash a car in a suit and heels like a pro, I was able to pick up some of the most valuable sales and marketing lessons that I still use until this very day.

Since this week, were talking about how to “STOP THE SCROLL” on your IG profile---I’ve decided to share with y'all the (3) lessons that helped me create consistent $5k months, work with AMAZING clients, and do all of this without having a million followers, or throw thousands of dolla dolla bills into FB ads.

#1- If you don’t believe in it, other people won’t either.
I’ve learned this the hard way. I had a hard time selling insurance because I just didn’t get how it could help people honestly. Anytime I had to do my pitch I would get super nervous and rush through it because--- I didn’t believe in it...so, neither did the people I was selling to. It wasn’t until I saw how the insurance actually helped someone not pay $30k for wrecking a rental car was I able to feel as if I was actually helping people---hence my sales went up!

Believe in your content, your branding, and your offer. Show up often, and speak about it with passion. The people will stop scrolling because your belief and energy will shine though.

#2- Take planned action...messy action is for my toddler.

Now, I’m not a fan of messy action. I’m just not. I believe it takes prompt action, but with a plan in mind. I spent so much time trying to have the perfect sales script, wear the perfect suit, or be like the girl who was “selling” the best, but you want to know why I wasn't selling like “Ms. Perfect”...because I didn’t have a plan that fit who I was. When I took the time to sit down and create a sales plan that fit my morals, personality, and goals---the magic started happening.

Stop stressing over the “right” things to say, the “perfect” logo, or having the “perfect” plan. You need a nice foundation for these things (for sure), but sit down, plan these out (give yourself 2-3 days), and start putting your plan into action. People can spot organization a mile away---a clean and organized feed gets views!

#3- Good things take time, but shortcuts are cool too.

I’m an impatient person. I’m working on this. I want results like yesterday.

But, I found that the more that I pushed the worse things got. It wasn’t until I had a come to Jesus moment where I realized that “if you do the right things, the right way...good things will happen.” Now, this doesn’t mean that you can’t take creative ways to speed things up but, expecting to get 100k GENUINE followers in 10 days is insane. You will end up with a head full of gray hair (that you weren’t expecting or loving).

Stay the course, be consistent, and stay true to your message and branding. The scroll will stop, and followers will come.

When your dream clients are scrolling through a sea of IG feeds, they aren’t just stopping at any old account—-they stopping the scroll on the feeds that have “curbside appeal”.⁣

The feeds that are creative, organized, have a bio that gives you the tea right away, and then if the content is just right… BOOM...follow just keep on coming. Those are the accounts that are kicking butt and taking names—-but what about you?⁣

How can you start having an IG that people can’t ignore today without having to change every little thing? ⁣

Grab a filter that you absolutely love and start using it consistently on your posts— this will help make your feed look uniform and organized.⁣

Clean up your bio! I’m happy that you love your dog, but HOW do you serve people… that’s what people are looking for—- although I love dogs too!⁣

Create 5-7 themes that you love talking about and then curate your feed based upon those— people like to know what they can expect, BUT 5-7 themes is enough to keep them on their toes.⁣

How many of you are thinking "this is me and I need a change."

𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞!

So, lets talk about why!

1. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. You have to get to know the person who is your perfect client! What do they like? What do they do in their spare time? Do they have kids? You need to direct your posts towards what would grab the attention of your ideal client!

2. 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘐𝘎 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴! Lets be honest here.
Looks matter. Take a step back and look at your grid. Are there a TON of collages? There is too much going on. Are there a ton of pictures of your new table decorations or the candles you just bought at target? Unless you are a bargain hunter or an interior designer, no one cares.

3. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺. This is important! You want your customers to be able to connect with you on a personal level, not just a professional level. They need to know how you came to be where you are. The struggles you faced/are still facing and how you overcame/are overcoming them. It builds trust!

4. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦! I can't tell you how many times I hear "my strategy isn't working." And when I ask how long its been... "Like a week." Okay, you know things take time. Be patient. It may be a few weeks before you start seeing results. Some tweaks may need to be made and you need to allow for that!

Well friends, ask yourself, "What would make ME want to respond to someone on my profile."

First things first! You need to take a look at your OWN profile before you start looking at others.
