Las Palmas, Gran Canaria! This was a beautiful town! We took a taxi to old town and had some espresso and food. And drinks. Too many. We ordered too many drinks by accident. Oh well!

Gibraltar was amazing! We went up to the top of the rock, and even went into the cave inside! Tons of history, it’s changed hands quite a lot! The bastion with the cannons on top was built in 700 AD. The area is littered with bastions and forts and tunnels. So neat!

Corsica, France was beautiful! We just spent the day wondering around town, eating, getting espresso and eating and eating. Such a wonderful day! Oh! And we ate!

Hired a driver to show us some sights in Rome today! We didn’t go in anywhere that required more tickets, we just wanted to see a bunch of stuff all in one go since we only have 1 full day here! Pretty amazing. 5 stars, would visit again!

12 hour flight from LAX to Rome done! Then a one hour drive to the flat we’re renting in Civitavecchia. Such a cool little coastal town! The flat is super nice.

Here is a shot of the Orion Nebula I took. It’s a stellar nursery 1400 lightyears away, and 24 lightyears across! Some of the youngest stars are thought to be *only* 100,000 years old, which in galactic terms, that’s a newborn. Like, hasn’t been handed to the mother yet newborn. Like… doctor still needs to slap it to get it to breath newborn. Like still has its umbili… you get it you get it. It’s young!

Bought a bike for the first time…. Ever. I had a Huffy my parents got me when I was a kid, but this is the first I bought with my own money! Man… I now understand why mom and dad were so protective of our family bikes, they aren’t the cheapest investment! (But likely hole value better than a car). I plan to ride it to and from work whenever I can. Yes. I’m fortunate enough to live within biking distance of work in LA. And like, casual biking. Cruise body here I come!
