After being part of the .fbs team since the very beginning, it’s incredibly hard to even type this, but I’ve made the decision to step away from the brand.

Over the past few years, I’ve shared almost every part of my fingerboard journey online, hoping to inspire the next generation. A big part of my journey was joining the Awful team, going pro, releasing two pro decks and a bro deck with my brother , and dropping my first full part in the Awful video In Denial back in April.

That’s why sharing this news with you all feels important. I want people to see not just the highlights of my journey, but also the tougher moments.

Leaving isn’t easy, and even though this is my decision, it sucks. It doesn’t feel fair, and in many ways, I feel like my hand was forced into making this choice. I know I need to prioritize my mental well-being, and stepping away feels like the best move for me right now.

I’ve always believed that fingerboarding thrives when we come together to grow this amazing community. Look out for each other, be kind, and remember—you never know what battles someone might be fighting beyond this awesome hobby. Never be too cool to show love and appreciation for your homies—and make sure to stand up for them too! Keep shredding and keep (finger) pushing!

Huge congratulations to and for the successful grand opening of the Chicago store this past week! The Fingerboard community is truly made up of some of the most rad people in the world, and it was an incredible experience to be surrounded by so many people all brought together by our common love for a small wooden skateboard for our fingers! The amount of talented and passionate individuals at this event was nothing short of inspiring! It’s wild how small the world feels when you get to spend so much time with friends from different states and countries literally every other month or so! I’m beyond thankful for every opportunity that has come my way this year! To my amazing family - I can’t begin to thank you all enough for everything you have done for me and this incredible hobby of ours! Traveling the world is fun but better with - truly like a brother to me! Here’s to many more fingerboard meetups and memories ahead! 🙌

Been a couple weeks since from my trip to Germany and I still can’t believe it actually happened. Some serious core memories were made on this trip! A huge THANK YOU to my family for thinking to include me is such a rad event and moment in history!

This past week doesn’t feel real. I said it once, and I’ll say it again.. thank you . This germany trip was incredible! and has been the most gracious hosts, welcoming us into their home for a week and making us feel like family!

The whole and family treated us like royalty this past week and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Happy 25 years BLACKRIVER - you both are truly incredible people doing incredible things for our community!

I need to convince me to pack up and move out here! Such a rad, and different way of life out here.. also, this trip is only possible because my wife pushes my to follow my dreams.. I had seconds thoughts about leaving my wife and babies for a week but she pushed me to go know how huge of a life moment this was for me!

It’s all mental. It’s all on you.

2024 will be as rad as you make it!

Allowing your past to define the future version of yourself is a mistake many of us make! It’s hard to let go.. but it’s even harder to realize life passed you by and you spent all your time harping on the past!

Stop excepting others to show up for you, and show up for yourself.

Looking back on this year, I couldn’t be more thankful for all the love and support I’ve received from this incredible community!
