Just wanted to remind you of two upcoming events that may be of interest to your percussionists:

1. The 2022 PAS Texas State Keyboard Competition will be held on Saturday, May 21st. Middle School Division is 7th-8th grade, Junior Division is 9th-10th grade, and Senior Division is 11th-12th grade. Entry forms and rules can be found by clicking the link below:

2. The 2022North Texas Middle School Percussion Camp will be held this summer from June 14th-16th. This event is for incoming 7th and 8th grade percussionists. There is a very nice article about this camp in the latest Rhythm! Notes Magazine. You can check it out along with online registration at www.kwylie.com.

The K. Wylie Virtual School of Percussion is a 37 week instructional course for the beginning percussionist. For over 30 years Kennan Wylie has been engaging young percussionists and his step by step method is NOW available online. For only $8 a month, every member will receive two videos every week for a 37 week period. Instruction is clear, basic, repetitive, and follows a very proven, successful sequential progression. Each week will have specified goals along with assignments. Snare drum, keyboards, timpani, accessories, and and even drum set will be covered.
