Court records show Matthew Krueger was indefinitely suspended from the Irving Police Department in April of 2013 after two internal investigations conducted by the department found unnecessary use of force.

Matthew Krueger was fired from the Fort Worth Police Department last week after an investigation found he used unjustified force during an arrest. Court records show he was also placed on indefinite suspension in Irving for violating similar department policies during an arrest.

Before she left office in 2022, former Tarrant County District Attorney Sharen Wilson wanted to revisit Paul Storey's sentence for the murder of Jonas Cherry. But two years later, Wilson's successor Phil Sorrells is walking back that support for Storey's sentencing appeal.

The previous district attorney sided with Paul Storey’s defense team, agreeing that he deserved a new trial. The current one is asking the U.S. Supreme Court not to take up Storey’s case.
