Vilen debuts for Erculean Dark, and this is a top quality release from the Australia based producer. The release is titled 'Hyperbolic EP', and it's definitely very creative. Title track 'Hyperbolic' is a treat to behold, and very different with some very techy flavours. The attention to detail in the percussion is fantastic, very clean and crisp. With a very effective progressive synth layer which appears back and forth throughout. The bass is punchy and effective with a minimalist style, and it's quite refreshing. Accompanying the title track is 'Penny Dreadful', with a beautiful opening sequence with a nice progressive synth layer yet again. The bas and percussion combo works really well, and the vocal is sublime and works a real treat. It has a nice groove and the flow is excellent, with some very unique sounds. This is a great little tune from the Aussie producer. Each layer represents something worthwhile in the project, a truly brilliant track. And last but certainly not least is 'Snakebite', and this is different again. With a real dark opening sequence, and an eerie synth layer accompanied by the punchy kicks it really does sound well. The drum and percussion sequence is nice and minimalist but very effective. But although it's very minimalist it's very effective with some obscure sounds appearing as overlays. The creativity and attention to detail is very impressive. This is another fine track by Vilen, and it adds to make a very good solid EP.

Bolnichenka returns to Erculean Dark following his release 'Medicine EP', and he's back with a 4-track EP titled 'Maniac EP'. The EP consists of title track 'Maniac', and this shows intent from the get-go. A real quality harder edge sound from the Ukranian producer. The first drop kicks real hard and the FX fills are on point, a real typical Bolnichenka trait. The overlaying synths are very unique and work well in the mash-up. The scream vocal is on point too and works well in the theme of the track. Solid production from start to finish with nice chunky kicks and clean percussion. Accompanying 'Maniac' is 'Paceent 13', and this takes a slightly different turn. The return of the pan-pipes and with a nice intriguing intro opener. The first drop kicks and the groove and use of percussion and fills again is excellent. The risers acting as the main synths are spot on and bring a real sense of journey to the track. The vocal sample is used to good effect and culminates in bringing together some unique sounds from the producer. Good track and the detail is incredible. Also on the EP we have 'Poplava', and this has a sci-fi style opener. This has a completely different vibe to it, showing major versatility. The bass rollerz are interesting and keep you wanting to know where it goes next. A real raw industrial finish to the track which will appeal to the heavy industrial dnb lovers. And last but certainly not least is 'Stryker'. This has a real wholesome sound from the start, a proper roller with attitude. This is a big track! 'The attention to detail in the structure of the track is class, never being afraid to test drive sounds. DT3 returns to the Erculean Dark label following his superb previous release 'Aliens On Holiday EP'. This time he's back with another double EP, this time titled 'Holy EP'. Starting with title track 'Holy'.... and this is special. A proper heavy roller, with groove and we love that! The intro section is brilliant and creates intrigue. Then the first drop....boom! And it has such attitude... a gritty little beaut with amazing bass fills. The attention to detail is fantastic and the bass change-ups are absolutely on point! DT3 is really showing his skills with this one and the vocal sample is perfect. The bouncy nature and driving force in the track is almost up with the very best. A superb track from the Australian producer. Accompanying the release is 'Ain't Nobody Dance', and this is completely different again. When you contrast the DT3 tracks currently across the label and including this, you see the pure diversity of the producer. This track has a 90's olds-skool rave vibe to it, but in the form of drum n bass. The House music vibes it gives off as influence is special, really catering for a sound that is very imminent in returning as the cycle of ages goes on. The vocal sample and piano really give the rave vibe and that really is a good thing! Bring home the rave! DT3 has killed it once again, with this nice groove and the impressive bass structure it really stands up in this EP. With a real funk in the bassline, this really captivates you. Godderz returns following his brilliant releases 'Deep End' & 'Nowhere To Go', released on Erculean Dark. This time the UK future star brings a triple EP to the table for you all to feast on. And it's delightful too, showing this producer is here to stay. Titled 'Stagnate EP', the title track 'Stagnate' is a perfect title track for the release. The opening sequence is a tease with a real airy space leading into nice clean kick and drum structure. Here comes the bass, boom! Captivated straight away, as the vocal is effective and used well. The way Godderz changes up his tracks and bass to change the direction slightly is second to none. The eerie pads in the breaks are brilliant, and the track is so crisp and punchy it's a delight to play. Joining 'Stagnate' is firstly, 'Espionage'. This has a nice build, the unique synth sound is perfect for what's to come. Bosh! Here comes the first drop, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Big sounds from the UK producer, with impressive attention to detail. The groove his tracks are creating are next level. The second drop is big, and this is sure to be walloped by the heavier dnb dj. The brilliant ETHR returns to Erculean Dark following his brilliant release 'Magma EP'. This is another dancefloor destroyer, and this time you get the bonus of a triple EP. ETHR brings to you 'Good Ol' Days EP'. The title track 'Good Ol' Days' is an absolute gem, the intro starts with a nice eerie drone synth and excellent fx. The eerie build introduces the vocal and drop really well. The drop is a monster, and the sequence is ridiculous. The attention to detail is next level from the Colorado based producer. The sub bass literally pulls through your chest, and the introduction's and drop-out's are top notch. The breakdown is really effective and short allowing more time for the focal point, the punchy kicks and sub. This is a brilliant track. Secondly we have 'Mimic', and let me assure you in terms of quality this release doesn't have a title track as the quality is insanely good. The intro is brilliant, with a really good vocal to intro the punchy kick and sub combination. The FX are subtle and pull the track along nicely. The bass introduction overlays are impressive, and the breakdown keeps you on your toes also. The feel of the breakdown gives you exactly what you need when the drop comes in. Delightful track and the hard hitters will love this. Next up we have 'Out Here'. This starts as it means to go on too. The bass bass roller stabs let you know exactly how the drop will go, and wow it doesn't disappoint. This signature sound is really starting to ring through for ETHR. the production quality and crispness are next level and the consistency is what impresses us as much as anything.
