LYAMUNYUNGA SHAKES UPND STRUCTURE

"as hundreds UPND members defect to PF "

PF Mongu Central Constituency aspiring candidate Bright Tombi Tombi popularly known as Lyamunyunga has shook and dismantled UPND members in Ilute ward in Mongu District of Western Province.

This saw over hundred people from UPND defecting to PF during the meeting.

Lyamunyunga, (Bright Tombi Tombi) gave hope to the people in the area saying that better days will come if he will be voted into office as a Member of Parliament.

He said he is a visionary leader who is spending sleepless nights looking at ways and means of how he can push for more development in Mongu and entire Western Province at large.

Bright Tombi further said the heart of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu is always in Western Province adding that the President's love to the people of Western Province is unconditional.

He said the President's love for Western Province is evident with economic development taking sharp.

The aspiring candidate mentioned that despite the people of Western Province not voting for President Lungu in 2016, his entire heart floats and sleeps in Western Province.

Tombi called upon the people in the area to give President Edgar Chagwa Lungu a resounding victory on 12th August,2021 for development agenda continuity.

As Lyamunyunga (Bright Tombi) was speaking, over hundred UPND Members who were present at the meeting erupted from the crowd and dramatically defected to PF.

"Tombi ,you are a man who has helped us in many issues that were affecting us. Help us ..our eyes and hope rest in you..... We didn't have water here , you came in and you installed water borehole for us.May God bless you. You are an incredible leader. We have defected today to PF because of you. We love and cherish you. We didn't love PF , but because of you , PF is becoming our darling," One UPND defector said.

Speaking on behalf of Ilute compound residents, Mr. Nyambe Tumelo requested PF to adopt Tombi Tombi and if they will not adopt him then PF will have a zero vote in Mongu.

" Tombi , you are our best candidate so far. We can't see the person who can represent us beyond 2021. You have been with us and we shall be with you. You know our challenges. You are a lavish man. If you are not picked expect PF to get a zero in Mongu." Mr. Nyambe.

Other people were heard saying UPND must be careful with Bright Tombi because he will dismantle their structures in Mongu as he seems to be a crowd puller and bulldozer.

Tombi Tombi was a former Mongu Mayor, Councillor and Mongu District Commissioner.

Many people know him by the name of Lyamunyunga which means the one who shakes in all aspects of life.

Police in Mongu arrest three people in connection of stolen property

Police in Mongu have arrested three (3) people in connection with stolen property worthy K50,000.

Mongu residents can go to Mongu Central Police to identify their property , Police has advised.

Police managed to arrest the suspects and recovered goods through night patrols.

MONGU PF ASPIRING CANDIDATE TOMBI TOMBI PLEDGE TO CHANGE THE FACE OF MONGU

Patriotic Front 2021 Mongu parliamentary aspiring candidate, Tombi Tombi has bemoaned the lack of development in Mongu constituency, in particular Kanyonyo ward.

Addressing scores of people from Tukuluho Compound in Mongu District yesterday, aspiring candidate Tombi Tombi wondered why the area was not developed despite having a sitting MP in the area who was supposed to speak for the people in Parliament.

Mr. Tombi promised the people in the area that once voted into office as area MP, he will change the face of Mongu and always be with his people in happiness and when faced with challenges.

Tombi said he stood with people in the area when the Department of Forest almost evicted them adding that it took his efforts to halt the move.

The former DC promised that his priority in the area once ushered into office as Member of Parliament is to engage Barotse Royal Establishment and Government to connect the area with water and electricity.

He added that he will advocate for policies that will attract massive economic development in the area.

‘’I stood with you when forest wanted to evict you and I stopped that. The issue of water and electricity will be my priority and I will engage the government and BRE to find a last solution.’’ Tombi added.

He further mentioned that his works as former councillor, mayor and DC still speaks immense volume adding that he will not be a coward to demand for economic justice and development in his area.

Tombi said he is a man of development and action oriented person who is called by many as "Lyamunyunga" meaning a person who shakes.

And speaking on behalf of residents of Tukuluho compound, Davy Silumesii said he was grateful to the PF MP aspiring Candidate Tombi Tombi for visiting their compound.

Mr. Silumesii lamented that the area is facing a lot of problems among them lack of water and electricity, adding that that they were told that they are not on the map of Mongu.

Mr. Silumesii added that the area lacks school where their children can attain their education.

He said their children walk long distances to access a nearby school.

"We feel we are
not part of Zambia and we want you to take us to Zambia since you are the only one interested in helping us. Please Mr. Tombi come to our aid." Lamented Mr. Silumesii.

He further bewailed that the community of Tukuluho Compound, commonly known as Forest area are having serious challenges and that their MP, Dr Mwilola has never come to listen to their cries.

Mr. Silumesii said Dr. Mwilola has been a missing person in his constituency and has not been found up to now.

The resident promised Tombi Tombi that they will be with him and have since warned the PF Party of total rejection should they fail to adopt him as a candidate.

Mr. Silumesii said this time they will not look at the party ,but caliber of the person contesting.

Mr. Tombi advised the gathered not to repeat the same mistake they made in 2016 by ushering a candidate who has no heart of the people of Barotseland.

He outlined other activities what he did for the people of Mongu when he was a councilor, Mayor and District Commissioner respectively.

The aspiring candidate has also wondered what the sitting area Member of Parliament, Dr. Mwilolo Imakando was doing when the people in the constituency are passing through untold suffering.

Currently, UPND' s Dr. Mwilola is the sitting member of parliament for Mongu constituency.

Dr Mwilola abandoned Mongu Central Constituency as he rarely steps his foot in his constituency since 2016 during campaigns.

SENDOI MULONDA SENSITSE VILLAGERS ON COVID 19 AND DONATES FACE MASKS TO SCHOOLS, AND VILLAGES IN BAROTSE PLAINS

Sendoi Mulonda today on Sunday, 24th January, 2021 donated over 2000 face masks and 100 face shields to some selected villages and schools in Barotse Flood Plain.

Sendoi who is a former Mongu DEBS now Teaching Commissioner Service said the spirit to donate face masks was to help the community and supplement Government efforts to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus which has claimed lives of the people.

Sendoi urged the people in Barotse Plain who gathered to receive the face masks to adhere to measures which were put in place by the head of state to ensure that Zambia is Covid-19 free adding that if citizen maintain social distancing and wearing masks in public places it practical possible to have Covid-19 infection rate reduced.

Sendoi said the fight against covid-19 is huge, henceforth the need to supplement government efforts in battling the virus.

After addressing some people in the Plain , Sendoi visited Tapo School where he equally donated face masks and advised teachers to adhere to COVID 19 Health guidelines and ensure that when schools open social distance is observed.

‘’COVID 19 is real friends, please take health guidelines serious and insure that when schools opens social distance must be observed.’’ Sendoi advised.

Meanwhile some villagers thanked the Commissioner for his gesture in donating face masks and face shields to them tbe spirit villagers wished can continue.

In an interview with Bakwetu Media Sendoi revealed that despite he has been taken to another critical responsibility as a commissioner ,his heart is still yearning to see Education thriving well in the Province and living standards of the people in some parts of Mongu and Barotseland at large are developed.
