Good conversation about the UN Srebrenica Genocide Resolution:
We look at these issues from a Balkan Muslim perspective. This will often be done by looking behind the headlines and news reports.
Balkan Chronicle is independent, quality Internet-only publication that reports and examines political, economic, cultural issues related to the wider region of the Balkans. This perspective distinguishes us from the mainstream English-language media whose reporting on the Balkan matters is generally skewed to inform a non-Balkan audience with little or none understanding of the complex Balkan hi
story and culture. Our publication chose the English language so that a wider audience throughout the region and world could be reached. We include articles from correspondents and contributors from all of the Balkan region and its countries, as well as the rest of the world, if it pertains to the main issue we are covering, Muslims of Balkans. Additional content is provided by news services and renowned individuals, think tank and investment analysts and academics. We encourage all of our readers to contribute by sending us their views and information about any issue they believe could be of interest to us. The Balkan Chronicle was founded in the summer of 2008 by a group of people from the various countries of the Balkan region. The decision to start this on-line Internet publication was born inline with the south-eastern expansion of the European Union and inclusion of Romania, Bulgaria, and further predicted expansions with western Balkan states and Turkey. Since the passage of the Single European Act the importance and the autonomy of regions has been significantly increasing over the years. This implies that all regions in Europe are facing the need for adjustment and, for instance, they must develop their own responses shaped by their unique social and regional context. Because of the sudden significance of regions, many sub-national levels of government have formed direct lines of communication with decision-making formations in Brussels. Therefore in response to the development of these new regional dimension of community affairs, we understood that indigenous Muslims groups and nations from the region of the Balkan need to establish ties to better integrate and position themselves within EU structures. We believe that a ‘Europe of regions’ is perhaps one of the best ways to make EU integrations succeed to become healthy and productive and bring long-lasting peace to the region and continent. Hence The Balkan Chronicle wants to give its readers worldwide an overview of Balkan news events and developments with particular, but not exclusive, attention to the Muslims of the region. We want to be the platform for the exchange of news and ideas among the people who are interested in the issue of Muslims in the Balkans. The Balkan Chronicle is intended to reach a global readership. We expect our readers to be open-minded and realize the potential behind increased cooperation between the people of the region. These are very hard and bad times, but we all must imagine a better world for everyone.
Whoever thinks it can get it better just for himself is wrong,
That is why we have to try to reach out and urge all warring sides to begin talking and find the way to resolve this crisis to a mutual satisfaction.
If we destroy the ideas we worked hard to establish and built thus far since WWII, it is going to be a bad world for everyone. It is much better to try and work hard to build a nice and better world instead.
We cannot change people easily, but we can work to change conditions that breed ill will. So I pray for peace and justice for all of us, and for the people in the Holly Land to stop and turn everything around. They did enough damage to each other and they should try to forgive each other and find peace in forgiveness.
I wish we all refuse to go down the path of destruction. Where we are heading? What do we want?
Look up and re-think, and start reminding everyone, war is over - if you want to.

Member of the UK Parliament Alicia Kearns, today stated:
"For too long we have failed to call out the armed Serb militias operating in the north of Kosovo. The Government are well aware, with the Fusiliers having only just returned from serving in KFOR, that there are weapons being smuggled across the border from Serbia into Orthodox churches in ambulances. When our troops become aware of that, and try to get permission to go and get them, the permissions take too long. By the time there is permission—quelle surprise—an ambulance has turned up at the church and taken all the weapons out again.
I will touch briefly on our export policies towards Serbia. I am gravely concerned about the fact that we are selling small ammunitions to Serbia. Given that the counter-terrorism police there carried out attacks and kidnapped three Kosovan police officers, how do we know that nothing we have sold to Serbia is being used in that context? I urge that a handbrake be put on all export sales to Serbia."
These are serious explanations on the destructive role of Serbia's state and Serbian Orthodox Church as a non-state actor in the Balkans and it is hard to ignore them, More on what she said here:

Serbia created its own horrible reality. Are Serbs going to blame others for it again, as they usually do? Or they going to look themselves in the mirror and realize where the source of their problems is?
Serbian approach and ideas are spreading wide and far beyond the Balkan region. Here is one example about the surprising connection of Serbs and Jan 6 events in the US.
