Rabbit with Mole and rice. Soooo good!! It feels good that we raised this food and we know where it comes from. With the way the economy is going it’s good to have healthy food available that doesn’t break the bank. Supper cost $2.50

This morning it’s quiet on the Hillside. No roosters crowing, guineas squawking, or ducks ready to be let loose. It’s different. This past month has been a whirlwind of changes and we will be saying goodbye to the Hillside in the near future. It’s bittersweet. It breaks our heart that our homesteading dreams are coming to an end but we are excited to start our new life in a new town. I’m excited to be going back to Georgia and being closer to my family. The Lord has been good to us in so many ways and we’ve summited ourselves to His will. Even though it’s painful it is apparent that His will is for us to go down a different path. We have put our faith in the Lord and are looking forward to see what He has planned for our future in Calhoun Georgia.

Chickens will not brave the snow and ice they are staying warm in the coop but the ducks and guineas are loving it.
