But under it all they can harbor some trauma too. Our kids are opening up about their experiences with living with a service member, and one who fights the silent battle of PTSD too.

We’re getting ready to bring you all something that we haven’t seen before. This is GROUND BREAKING!! 💥💥💥

We have our bigs on with us for the next episode, and they’re sharing what it’s like living with a dad who struggles with PTSD.

This was even an eye opening conversation for us as parents, because even though we’ve always known this lifestyle has affected our kids, to hear it from their own mouth and how their brain processes everything really hit us hard.

It also was encouraging to our children. As you can see in our text, they thought they were alone too.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Take some time to check on yourself and assess where your mind is today. If you’re overwhelmed, take some time for yourself or share your burdens with your partner. Maybe you’re good! Yay!! You have the opportunity to come along side somebody today to help and support them if they are struggling. Either way, you’re not alone. Both Steph and Ash are here to listen if you need it, or rejoice with you if you’re in a good place.

It’s important to take time for yourself to recharge. You’re not a bad parent if you do, but instead a smart one. You need to be full in order to pour out into your marriage, your kids, your home, your friendships ect. So take some time today for yourself. Even if it’s 10 minutes of quiet time to just sit and breathe or have a snack. Life can really look clearer after something as simple as both of those.

We pray you find joy and peace today, and that you be recharged and filled with love so that you can complete your day with your head high and your emotions in a good place. 🫶
