Yes, there is a new league forming with the vibes of the past. We are taking what we have learned over the past 3 years on the sim. To hopefully create one of the most competitive fields of racing.

We want to make "Making the show" a thing again. We are going to eliminate the keyboard warrior mentality as well. If you have a problem with another driver. You will be talking to that person on the broadcast about it.

We have a format in points that can keep you in the running. Some weeks the luck of the draw will be good for you, but the nights where its double points can you qualify? Are you able to get a car set up for day time or a temp change?

Alot of the drivers will be drivers from the past for this. If you are a former driver of that once fun league then hit us up and ask. Spots will be limited to 30 per class. Only 18 make the show

Come September we will be making Wednesday nights mean something once again.

Took some time off and headed out to Eldora Speedway for the Million and the 28th Dream. Had a blast hanging out with some friends and meeting some new guys from the sim. Got a little wet but It’s always a good time seeing some of the best dirt late model racers in the country. We’re back and ready to bust out some rigs for a few new customers that have been patiently waiting. Look for a couple new designs coming as well!!

Alrighty everyone, would just like to post another update as to what's been going on for the past week. 1st of all, the internet issue from Thursday night is going to be a problem for the next potential 2 weeks. As of posting this, my internet speed is still horrific https://www.speedtest.net/result/10894932358.
Secondly, starting February 15th I will start work as a PCA at a local hospital, I'm hopeful that my schedule will be aligned to where I will be able to continue broadcasting, but nothing is certain.

Growing up racing Sunday morning story:

My first year running karts. I was either 9 or 10 and we ran at a local track. There was a kid there who was known as a dirty driver, not cause the kid was a bad kid or anything but his dad would motion for him to move up or signal to him to wreck another driver. That father one time motioned for his son to wreck me. My dad was a bad m**o, countless memories of someone flipping him off and watching him smack the s**t out of people along side of the road. My father was from that time when if you ran your mouth you better know how fight. A time when you was allowed to lay hands on someone. My father walked over to the other dad and told him. The next time I see you motioning to your son to wreck another kid I am going to put your head thru this fence right here. That kid never wrecked another person the rest of that season. Thats because during that time and age if my dad would've done that there wouldn't be all this fines and suspensions. This is what happens when you take away the fear of getting your chin checked in the pits. Lack of respect. I see it all of the time in IRACING cause for the most part you don't think you will run into some of these guys, but some of them you will. Maybe the tone will change when you come face to face with someone.

Little bit fear of getting punched in the face brings respect for others to the forefront real quick. Esp if you dont know how to fight. Lol

Alright, Got an update in terms of possible fixes to the streams.

After some research, I've learned that obs has issues with "dynamic bitrate" whenever there are no network issues. A couple other streamers have listed the same issues of "Bitrate will skyrocket, then drop to 0, lose connection, then have obs freeze up and crash." The fix to this, go back to a fixed bitrate of 3000kb/s. There, of course, is a downside to this change. In the event of my internet slowing down the stream will no longer just become blurry, the stream itself will start becoming choppy until 3000kb/s is reached through my network once again. This was a problem we experienced for about the entirety of our broadcasts until we switched to dynamic bitrate back in late November/ early December.

Alrighty, I've been wanting to make a post regarding what's been happening with the streams for a couple months but ended up putting it off for various reasons.

Problem 1: We are very much aware of the drop in quality of the broadcasts. I've learned from my isp that it is due to an increased amount of traffic on the cell towers due to the number of people coming home from work, after school activities, etc. There is absolutely nothing we can do in regards to that part of the problem.
The 2nd issue in terms of the drop in quality was due to something that everyone here (Beau, Beach, and myself) had a hunch on since we first started using it. As of now, we will be reverting back to our old mix of Sim Racing Apps and Racelab Apps widgets as our overlay. The overlay we've been using for the past few months (SDK) had been using an unknown amount of bandwidth and caused the bitrate for the stream to drop to around 500-1500KB/s. After turning off SDK and just using Sim Racing Apps the quality jumped up almost immediately and hovered around 3000KB/s for the remainder.

Problem 2: For the past week OBS will freeze up and crash at random, causing me to have to restart the stream. I will be reinstalling the software in hopes that'll fix the issue, but if not, I will look for different streaming software.

Problem 3: Doesn't affect us yet, but will in the near future. Since the beginning of the WHBN's existence, Andrew and myself (Trenton/Cheesecake) have been looking for actual employment. As of recently, that has jumped into one of our major priorities. Needless to say, most employers will not let a couple of kids leave work early to "Stream/broadcast online racing." So that alone leaves the future of us up in the air. This leads me to this, if anyone is curious or is tossing around the idea of going into broadcasting, I will gladly share everything I've learned in the past...almost year. I'd love to see more guys get into this hobby!
