Would "aliens" look like those in the movies? Mexico's Congress gathered on Tuesday along with experts from the U.S., Japan, and Brazil to view what controversial Mexican journalist and researcher Jaime Maussan says are the fossilized bodies of "non-human" beings.
Maussan presented two tiny bodies with three fingers in glass cases to the Mexican Congress. Maussan testified under oath that he discovered the bodies, which resemble the alien in the beloved 1980s film "E.T.," from algae mines in 2017 in Cusco, Peru.
The "aliens" could be up to 1,800 years old through radiocarbon dating done at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, according to Maussan. Without third-party DNA evidence, he testified that more than 30 percent of the specimens' DNA was "unknown."
Experts at the hearing testified that one of these bodies, when x-rayed, had 'eggs' with embryos inside of it, and that there were 'implants' in the body made of the metals cadmium and osmium. It is unclear what the next steps will be in validating the astonishing claims.
