Not every place I stop (especially while ) is an ideal camping location. However, this is a GREAT example of how the roof-top-tent is a huge advantage over ground tents. I actually stayed at this RV/camp site two trips in a row! Great spot…if you can be off the ground.

Much like the lightning ⚡️ that I sometimes film 🎥; a call right out of the blue from the dealer that I put my order in late last year, said that my truck arrived. Totally unexpected and completely unprepared. In the process now of hopefully working toward making the purchase, I soooo want this truck. I missed the first year there is came up, so into year three of trying to acquire one.

The in action in , chasing severe weather. The main storm action (follow & for more storm imagery) is to the left. My 2015 is equipped with AT tires but I have not lifted it (yet). One thing I love about the forester is the great approach and departure angles versus the Outback. I catch the hitch sometimes but it (and the angled up cargo rack) doesn’t interfere with vast majority of obstacles while chasing.

Love me some outdoor wildlife parks that I get all to myself. Nothing here but birds. Do wish I had electricity for charging all camera batteries…but I do have cell service.

I managed to get a lot more done on the interior cargo rack, drawer, pull-out system (prototype) these past few days. I’ll work a video quickly for posting later but here are some photos.

I’m a mixed fan on the . I plan to purchase a larger more capable rig in the not-to-distant future. The new Bronco looms large cause I am a Ford fan. I love Jeeps too but more of the old school flavor (Loved my 2000 big red XJ Cherokee and may buy another one of those). So these weren’t really on my radar. That said....my buddy had grabbed an Overland edition and I’ve been impressed. It kinda combines my desire for a pick-up. Plus they are pretty off-road ready right off the back. Even this Mohave edition that Katherine at got my attention and black is one of last colors I’d pick for a car (never owned one black vehicle of over 30 I’ve owned/connected to). But I did like this.

First true “mod” is about to be test fitted to . These are 5x100 and 1.5” wide (may be toooo wide). Idea here is to be able to fit good off-road tires with minimal lift (when I need big ground clearance I’ll be buying a larger vehicle....new Bronco maybe 🙏).

A great shot by of the seen here in waters during while intercepting the storm on in . Jen ( is in the passenger seat and I’m driving ). This is the first storm intercept for this as my stock 2006 has done the duty up to this point. This will see a lot of action over the winter of trips and other adventures and way more to come.
