What Madwomen Want A podcast produced by Radio Fodder, presented by Elly Hewitt and Emily Fisher, discussing the thorny Am I mentally ill, or am I in love?

An exploration of real life love stories from the point of the view of the madwoman in the attic. As two young screenwriting students who experience mental health issues, we want to explore the thorny territory that is dating in the modern world when ‘crazy bitch’ is all too applicable. Wholly unqualified to do so, we aren’t here to give advice. The line between mental illness and sanity is fluid.

After all, in and of itself, falling in love is an insane thing to happen. Each week we’ll explore a different aspect of dating while mentally ill, using templates of interviews, Mini Radio Plays we write based on the interviewee and their situation, and a segment diagnosing romance in art. Every show will pose a quandary such as Should I Tell Bae I’m Cray? What came first, the Virgin or the Crazy? After all, diagnosed or not, we all go a little mad sometimes.
