Newport 01 - map making #1 (map creation and terraforming)

Hello everybody and welcome to the 1st episode of Newport. As I am a huge fan of everything vintage americana and I still got the old world blues for the 1945-1970 era USA, mostly 50s and 60s, I’ll try to set the city in that time frame.

The base map is Eureka, California. It is a grayscale image imported from terrain.party but as you will see I’ll add some special features to it. And mind you this will not be a 1:1 recreation of any of the cities in this area. I’ll will take some inspiration for a couple of things like the water treatmentplant and airports locations, but overall my city will be a fictive one.
