UPLift the Magazine UPlift Magazine is publication geared towards helping enrich, educate, and entertain young men of color.

We are focused on providing content that speaks to the opportunities and challenges that young men of color encounter. UPlift serves as a source for all men of color with a primary target audience of young men ages 10 – 25 in need of or seeking quality, conscious building, informative, and engaging content. Each issue will contain sections on education, relationships, entertainment, fashion and sports.

National Alliance of African American Athletes

We LOVE what they are doing! It's FREE and some awesome information will be shared!

The Watkins Teen Summit on Leadership and Achievement is open to all teens in the DC metropolitan area (must register). The summit is an interactive workshop in which youth will interact with former & current NFL players, leading professionals and the 2015 Watkins awards finalists.

Co-moderated by: Lorenzo Alexander (Oakland Raiders)

* Teens will be served continental breakfast during registration
* Mini-competititions for participants to win season passes to Six Flags, gift cards and other prizes.
* Students will also receive a free guide on college preparation and opportunities!

The summit will cover the following topics, along with a session for open talk with the special guests:

Empire: Tips from students and professionals on how to achieve personal, academic and extra-curricular success while in high school and college. A chat on how to set goals now to buold and what you want in the future.

Formation: Who is on your team - who are the people and what are groups on YOUR line. How do you find and put into formation a group of mentors, friends, advocates, organizations, and others that need to be in your life to help you grow.

Being a REAL Boss: A discussion on how teens can make the most of putting themselves out there. How can teens effectively and positively be social and use on-line media, while maintaining self-respect and their personal reputation.

Role Modelz: How to be a leader in your school and community - using your personal swag to inspire others in great ways.

The program is open to male and female students, athletes and non-athletes.
