And this is why I side eye all of the autism diagnostic criteria. How many of us were involved in making it? You can't just use an external perspective from someone who isn't autistic to diagnose the internal process of autism.

This is how you end up with "NO EMPATHY" and "DOESN'T GET SOCIAL CUES" diagnostic criterion instead of "empathy is too much sometimes and hurts so I turn it off whenever possible" and "I totally understood that cue it was just stupid as hell so I'm not responding to it unless you say it with your whole chest." 🙃

One of the BIGGEST failures I constantly and consistently see is that the autism diagnostic criteria does not take into account that people with higher IQs and less support needs often are HIGHLY SKILLED in masking and adapting, and that if that person flew under the radar for 30-40 years, the questions are going to ENTIRELY overlook that person because they effectively used ABA-similar techniques to appear less autistic. If y'all professionals believe that ABA works, then you CANNOT ARGUE about the fact that there are people out there who, on their own because of their intellect and pattern recognition skills, are able to train themselves to appear more neurotypical and thus in doing so invalidate their own autism due to these invalid criterion.

YOU CANNOT USE THE CHILD CRITERION TO DIAGNOSE ADULTS WHO HAVE SPENT YEARS MASKING THEIR AUTISTIC TRAITS INTO OBLIVION - JUST BECAUSE THOSE TRAITS HAVE BEEN KILLED BY ADAPTATION DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE AUTISM WAS NEVER FU***NG THERE! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

Israeli reservist and illegal settler Eliran Mizrahi — declared 'disabled' and diagnosed with PTSD — committed su***de on 8 June, following a call-up order to return to fighting in Gaza's Rafah.

The Israeli army is refusing to recognize him as a 'fallen soldier' or give him a military burial at the Mount Herzl cemetery because he died while he was off duty.

Mizrahi's sister Hila told Hebrew Channel 13 that he was told by a doctor that he would not be able to return to combat due to his mental and physical state, but still received an emergency call-up order nonetheless.

He regularly took selfies of himself celebrating the death and destruction in Gaza, and made TikTok videos of himself boasting while destroying property and vandalizing Palestinian homes.
