Student Struggle republishes an article written by Comrade AK Gopalan, one of the pioneering figures of Indian Communist Movement. Com. AKG inaugurated the first all India conference of SFI held at Trivandrum, in 1970. He fought throughout his life for the toiling masses, the oppressed sections and those who are deprived of denial of justice. He relentlessly fought caste and class oppression. Dangering his life AKG fought the ruling class, from colonial powers to the time of semi-fascistic rule of Indira Gandhi and emergency.
AKG, one of the most beloved leaders of Indian working class movement has penned down some of his observations, as notes, on education some time during the later part of 1974, a few years before his death. Student Struggle published it for the first time in 1984. Considering the relevance the article hold for all times, we are republishing it for the larger readers circle and for all activists working with education sector.
