Yes the weather changed dramatically from Sat to Sun but I was very thankful to visit Riverview Farmstead in S. Naperville. The trees blooming were beautiful and picturesque!

Lots of things to keep an eye out for. When hiking I believe the 2 largest threats are (in order) ticks and twisting an ankle.

Venomous are found mostly in the southern part of Illinois, but the eastern massasauga is found in various places.

Far too nice of a day to stay inside! Get out in one of the wonderful preserves and why not join in the forest preserve's The Take It Outside Challenge! Feel free to post your pics of the outdoors here along with the general location. Have fun!

Welcome all outdoor enthusiasts. Will County has some truly wonderful preserves for all to enjoy and respect. In the recent years there have been really astronomical improvements to nearly every property! Let's all enjoy by sharing things we find interesting. New found trails and long time favorites, interesting features and finds, wildlife pictures and curiosities. However we must remember to take nothing from the preserves - except trash. Please don't litter or be afraid to take a bag with you while hiking to pick up a few bits of trash. Also you can post things you believe to be malicious or dangerous. Enjoy what we have!
