STUART, Va. — The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office has announced charges against and/or arrests of residents from the greater Mount Airy area recently, including:

• Ethan Glade Phipps, 32, of 114 Kitty Hawk Lane, Mount Airy, charged with petit larceny on May 23, with Carroll County authorities making the arrest for Patrick County;

• William Ray Jurney, 33, of 162 Long Branch Estates, Claudville, arrested on May 22 for a felony charge of attempted malicious shooting and two misdemeanors, pointing/brandishing a firearm and reckless handling of a firearm;

• Andrew Bailey Staples, 37, who has been listed as a homeless Mount Airy resident, arrested on May 21 for a felony probation violation;

• Travor Paul Parker, 36, 912 Wards Gap Road, Cana, charged on May 20 with driving while impaired, first offense, involving drugs;

• Colby Lee Shinault, 19, of 895 Mitchell Mill Road, Claudville, charged on May 18 with driving while impaired, first offense;

• Benton Calvin Hall, 59, of 239 Janice Lane, Ararat, served with a capias (arrest order) on May 11 for a community-based probation violation;

• Brine Scott Stevenson, 52, of 1998 Pedigo Ridge Road, Claudville, charged on May 4 with violating a protective order;

• Joseph Franklin Sechrist, 37, of 462 Raven Rock Road, Ararat, served with a capias on May 1 for failing to appear in court;

• Tiffany Romont Alfred, 33, of 588 Pell Lane, Claudville, served on April 24 with a capias for failing to obey conditions of bond;

• Roger Lundy Fox Jr., 51, of 539 Long Branch Road, Claudville, arrested on April 20 for felony charges of buying and receiving stolen goods involving a larceny of property valued at more than $1,000 and removing/altering serial, ID, decal or vehicle numbers.
