😂🚗 yes budgeting included compromise and sacrifice at times. But this is temporary. For example when I was a Marine, I bought a Toyota vehicle 2007 with 30,000 miles on it. Had to roll down the windows via manual labor and it didn’t have any safety fancy features etc. I had a Marine tease me about it when he pulled up in his sports car. He then proceeded to ask me why I drive that piece of garbage. I calmly responded because it gets me to where I need to be and I do not have a car payment. My car is all paid off and I did not go into debt that I cannot afford. He did not respond and after that he never mentioned it again. Why? Because financial responsibility makes perfect sense. I was in debt at the age of 18. I came from a family with not much money and had to grow up fast. All of my past mistakes I did not want to repeat so I needed to be careful with how I handled my money. It took me failing and in a pile of debt and living paycheck to paycheck to take the opportunities and resources the Military offered and apply it to my financial life.

Sacrifice is hard and what you drive and where you live can be societies way of pressuring us to give into something we can’t afford. But trust the process and be patient and disciplined, it will be worth it in the end. ❤️💪😎
