Meet our second Alumni Spotlight of the week: Maya Table
Maya Table is a Georgia State University alumna with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media. Maya is the owner and head of Production & Creative at Sam Frank Productions, a company that serves as an executive collaborative. This company alone has produced hundreds of pieces of content over the last sixteen years, ranging from scripts, films, promotions, commercials, and live events. They are responsible for producing Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel” music video, Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” music video, and they hired a ninety percent female crew for OWN TV’s “The Know” web series.
Maya has directed a wide range of short films, music videos, and digital content for renowned brands such as Hulu, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Google, and more. She has also directed music videos for big-name artists like Lil Wayne, Offset, and Travis Scott. Additionally, Table wrote and directed three shorts: “Reclaiming Nappy” (Facebook 2019 Sundance Festival), “Dating App” (FoxSoul), and “Hit The Road” (BWFN Best Editing).
Among numerous accomplishments, this recognized 2021 Adweek Creative 100 Visionary Director and Adobe Mentor has made her mark in the entertainment industry, and we at MTM Standard thank her for the amazing work she has done over the years!
Introducing out first Alumni Spotlight of this week: Elijah Watkins
Elijah Watkins is a GSU alumnus with dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Marketing. Watkins is a young creative based in Atlanta, where he works as a producer and actively contributes to the world around him. Upon graduating in 2015, he quickly put his degrees to use by providing a range of services, including marketing and business development strategies related to the media and entertainment industry.
In 2018, he joined the WarnerMedia team as a Social Media Producer. Watkins played a crucial role in establishing the entire Adult Swim Social Media Department from its inception. He also contributed to the production of daily content for the network, engaging with over sixteen million followers. Additionally, he co-produced two seasons of HBO Max’s “Ambient Swim” with numerous animators from around the globe.
Currently, he is the author of “The Art of Finessing” and dedicates the majority of his time and energy to his previous collaborators. Notable collaborations include One Musicfest, Pharrell’s I Am Other brand, Wish ATL, Billboard, and many more musicians, artists, and business creatives. We thank you, Elijah, for your contributions to the industry and for setting an example for young creatives attending Georgia State University.

Meet our second alumni spotlight this week - Gabriel Wonder Arillo !
“if I had to describe my sound in one word, it would be cinematic”
Gabriel Wonder Arillo is a Georgia State University alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Film. Arillo grew up in a household full of music, which likely shaped the producer he is today. During his first year at GSU, he purchased his first 4-track recorder to produce for friends and classmates, utilizing the school's resources. By his senior year, he was engineering for DJ Toomp, a Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum producer. It wasn't long before he contributed to the engineering of artists such as Boyz N' Da Hood, Ludacris (another GSU alum), and Turk. He later produced for T.I., earning a Grammy for his work on "What U Know" from the platinum-selling album "KING." His discography doesn't stop there, as he has also produced for the likes of Drake, Fall Out Boy, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and many more. We appreciate your contributions to the industry and look forward to hearing your work on many more songs in the future!
This week we have a double feature for our alumni spotlight !! Meet our first alumni of the week - James Supreme
James Supreme is a Georgia State University Alumnus with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
After his time at GSU in 2015 he started at The Revels Group as a day to day assistant for G-Eazy during the creation of his breakout album, When it’s Dark Out. After leaving, he became an A&R at Universal Music Publishing Group where he signed and supervised the likes of Cardi B, Lil Nas X, City Girls, Lil Yatchy, and many more. Following his time at UMPG, he accepted a position as the Vice President of A&R at Def Jam Recordings in 2023 saying “To be given the opportunity to identify and support the next generation of global artists alongside the team at Def Jam is truly a full circle moment.” And while his accomplishments do not stop there, We thank James Supreme for his time at Georgia State University and for the amazing things he has done in for the industry and its listeners.

Upon graduating in May 2023, Omar’s career skyrocketed, reaching audiences across various Latin American countries. His exceptional talent even garnered recognition in numerous Ecuadorian articles.

Meet this weeks Alumni Spotlight - Chelsea Mitchell!
Chelsea is not just an alum of Georgia State University Law School; she’s making waves in the world of law and entertainment. With her Juris Doctor in hand, she’s landed a significant role as an associate attorney at Carter Woodard LLC, a boutique entertainment law firm based in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. This law firm also just so happens to handle the legal matters involving big name artists such as Summer Walker and Lil Yachty. Her recent induction into the Recording Academy is a testament to her dedication.
Chelsea is not just excelling professionally but also giving back. Recently, she shared her expertise with the Artist Representation Class at Georgia State University, shedding light on artist contracts and the intricate legal aspects of the music industry.
We’re proud to have Chelsea Mitchell as part of our alumni community, and we can’t wait to see her continue to rise in the world of entertainment law!

He is a Cum Laude graduate of The Elizabeth City State University with a degree in Sound Recording Tech. He has worked with Gunna, Terry Tesla, Foogiano, and many more, and he is here to present his own material, produced and recorded on his own.

Andrew Luis "Dru" Castro ( ) is an alumnus of Georgia State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Music Management. Born in Manhattan and raised in West Palm Beach, Castro developed a passion for music at a young age, starting piano lessons at the age of five. Upon graduating from high school, he relocated to Atlanta in 1999, where he immersed himself in the music industry, particularly in the R&B and Hip-Hop scenes during their prime.
After breaking into the music industry, Castro collaborated with some of the industry's biggest artists, including Usher, Keyshia Cole, T-Pain, and many more. From 2006 to 2013, he also owned and operated Music House Studios alongside Alec Newell. In 2018, Castro earned a Grammy as the engineer for the Record of the Year, awarded for the song "This is America." To date, Dru Castro has contributed to 19 Grammy-nominated projects, of which 5 have received awards.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Castro for his remarkable contributions to the industry and for choosing Atlanta and Georgia State University as his home.

Christopher Brian Bridges ( ), known more professional as Ludacris is a Georgia State University Alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Music Management. At the young age of only 9 years old, Ludacris began rapping and became a DJ as well. After graduating high school, he decided to attend Georgia State University to study Music Management but later dropped out to start his career. In the late 90s, he formed his own record label “Disturbing tha Peace” and released his first record “Incognegro” (Later re-released after signing with Def Jam Recordings). Ludacris now has eight studio albums, two compilation albums, one EP, six mixtapes, eighty nine singles, and nine promotional singles totaling 5,935,395 streams and 290 tracks. In May of 2022, he received an Honorary Degree in Music Management from Georgia State University. Currently he is the Co-Founder of Kid Nation, an educational platform that creates catchy and danceable content for kids. Of course there is more to the success of Ludacris, but one would have to write an entire novel to capture every moment involved in the phenomenal life of the star himself. Thank you Ludacris for your success and for inspiring so many with your work.
