Another win for genealogy catching another murder victims killer. Add one more to randy kraft the "scorecard killer". I keep hoping more and more of these cases get solved eith genealogy because these women deserve justice... and if they can't recieve justice then I hope their families recieve the answers they have been seeking their whole lives. ♡

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, I know I am. Wendy and I have been working really hard on season 2. I've been editing and getting all of the episodes preloaded and still making videos from season one for the YouTube channel. I'm writing new cases and trying to do all of the listener suggestions this season. It's wild.

A series of long haul trucker murders have been hitting America hard from coast to coast as the bodies of 850 women have been discovered over the last 35 years. Most of the women were s*x workers who had been picked up at truck stops but there were some women who were just unassuming or hitchhikers looking for a ride.

450 to 500 suspects have been being looked at by the FBI in connection with the killings. They believe it's a string of different serial killers hitting the same highway and picking girls off one by one. One man has been arrested in connection with the murders but the fbi knows there are more.

Finally finished under the bridge. I cried like a little baby. Of course the book was better than the show but after writing about the case and all of the players involved, I feel like I had gotten to know reena. Between the two books and writing the episode, it broke my heart watching it play out on a Hulu series.

Our Reena Virk episode has hit 250k views. Which is wild. People have been reposting it all over tiktok and I want to say thank you for bringing new listeners to the podcast. I hate that it's the murder of a young soul that has brought many of you to us, but I love that this season we are going to be focusing on a lot of cases that are unsolved.

I feel like bringing light to mysteries and unsolved cases will bring some finality to them. Fingers crossed.

I had to delete some comments about the reena virk case because followers were screen shooting people they believed to be the shoreline six and posting it on the page. It's not personal, I just don't want people doing witch hunts on people who were involved 20 years ago. It's fine if you inslvedtigste on your own but these people are free and out on the street living their lives. While I do think that the karmic teeter totter tipped in their favor ... I still will not have people ruining other peoples personal lives on my page. Killer, not killer, participant, etc.

The case is public knowledge which is why we did the story on it. And that is why I only named 4 of the 6 participants in reenas beating. 2 came out on blood under the bridge publicly. And the other two were charged for her murder.

I can't tell you what to do on your own time but please refrain from posting anything involving pictures of people. Their facebooks... their families or their children. If you continue you will be blocked from the page.

Last night I teared up watching episode three of "under the bridge". I'm trying not to give away spoilers that pertain to the show. But the case if public knowledge. Seeing "Suman" looking at her daughter in the morgue scene choked me up because you could visually see the pain in her eyes.

As I've been watching the series I've been trying to match up the knowledge I have from doing the case and reading the book to the semifictional account "based on a true story" that Hulu is presenting. I must say, they found a way to drop most of the information into the cinematic retelling of the story.

AUGUST SECOND, 2024 is the first episode of season two. After a rocky break, we have been working on other projects, working on the YouTube page and Wendy is trying to finish her second book.

To keep our listeners happy and (we like doing it too) we will be posting a new episode every other Friday. This season I'm working on a massive case thats going to take up half the season but is well worth it.

Reena Virk was a normal teen during 1997. Gangster rap was hot, kids idolized criminals and teenage angst made her pull away from her strict parents. With low self esteem and wanting to be like the "cool kids" she was manipulated into accusing her own father of molestation so she could be taken from her home and have more freedom to come and go from the local foster shelters.

As a 14 year old growing up in Victoria it was hard to realize the real life reprocossions idolizing the wrong people could participate into.

The shoreline six ,which included Warren glowatski, Nicole Cook, Missy pleich and kelly ellard, took part in "jumping" their "friend" by literally beating her to death. Once the first beating was over all but Warren glowatski and kelly ellard stayed behind. Reena made her way over rhe bridge to the other side while being taunted, kicked, pushed and dragged to help her along. At the other side, kelly and Warren beat her until.she was unconscious and then kelly ellard finished the job.
